My family and I have been using this M&S for well over a decade on a regular basis and it has nearly always been a nice place to shop, but I feel as though I have to leave this review.
The staff (the few who were there) were completely run ragged and clearly stressed. They were trying their best but we're in the middle of Christmas shopping season and it was completely understaffed. One person was literally running between the self-service section and also manning the other checkouts, it was a shambles. Bearing in mind, this was around 5.30pm, when many people would be arriving from work.
I don't know if half a dozen of the people on the tills called in sick on the same day but otherwise, this was a horrible fault on the part of the shop's management. When the shops are this busy, there is no excuse for only having a handful of people on the floor. Sort out the rota, get more staff in asap, do something, because this was a disgrace and the service suffered massively...
Read moreI met worse staff ever in my life in M&S wimbledon. Katu from wimbledon store apparently didn't know how to treat their customers fairly and nicely. I asked for £50 cashback with detailed request and she refused without any reason and forced me to leave. She shouted at me saying I was wasting other customer's time, which is horrific as a M&S staff. However she was chatting with previous customer for Xmas plan and letting other customers like me waiting in the long queue. When she realised how slow her services was, she started to speed up by ignoring customer's normal request.
I am also disappointed how M&S handles complains. Although I complained this directly to store manager I was told this case will be only handled internally without notifying customers. I am not sure how this will impact misbehaved staff. Apparently Katu from Wimbledon still acts the same as before. Never treat...
Read moreCollected my click and collect. The upper floors were closed. But the first floor was open. You could buy pjs, underwear, Christmas decorations, and some clothing. (Jeans, jumpers, socks, slippers, & glasses also have your eyes tested ). Gift surprise I was able to buy was the gin gift bottles to hang on the tree, which I had not been able to get anywhere! So bonus there. Hand sanitizer available. Social distance in, which was easy. Not crowded. Helpful staff, when I could find a particular item, thought the young lady didn't know where I could find it she did go to inquire where I could. Then came to find me, with the item I was looking for. Overall a charm and productive shopping trip. WELLDONE Mark's and Spencer. Expect no less from this...
