I finally made the trip I’d been putting off to refresh my makeup collection, and I’m so glad I did. Davina was absolutely incredible. I arrived at the store around 8 o’clock, and despite it being late and busy with limited staff, she greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm that I instantly felt at ease. She managed to assist me and other customers with grace and efficiency, never once making anyone feel rushed or overlooked.
Her own makeup was flawless—so beautifully done that it gave me instant confidence in her expertise. I trusted her recommendations completely, and she didn’t disappoint. Not only did she help me find everything I wanted /needed, but she also went above and beyond to assist with my mother’s makeup even though all we had was a shade number.
Davina offered me several options, guided me through each one, and helped me make confident choices that truly suit my skin. I’ve never had a makeup shopping experience feel so educational yet effortless and enjoyable. She also shared helpful application tips and recommended a few extras, which turned out to be perfect additions.

I went in the lip gloss section as I just wanted to buy the product and leave the store asap.Because of the pandemic I try my best to make my visit as short as possible in every store I go to. I looked around as I was bit hasitant to touch the products. I couldn't see any sales assistant around so I tried to find my shade as there was no any sign saying customers are not allowed to touch the products. I visited the ordinary before going to mac and there they had a clear sign infront of the products saying not to touch the products. While I was trying to find my shade suddenly someone came from behind and said EXCUSE ME YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH. She scared me so much and made me jump. The sales assistant was so rude. She looked like an Asian girl. It's hard to tell with mask on though. I left immediately. I work in customer service too and that's clearly not the way to talk to people especially with the customers. So unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't mind if she had said it in a polite way. She has every right to say as she is just doing her job but there is a way of saying it. She was literally TELLING ME AND OTHER CUSTOMERS OFF. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN NO MORE MAC...
Read moreWent in Saturday evening to pick up a studio fix powder with my aunt who wanted a mineralise skin finish powder. Waited 10+ minutes for service even though the shop had barely any customers. Security seemed to almost follow us around the store and we had to ask security to help us before she motioned a worker on. I asked the girl to help match the powder and she told me to choose what colour I thought. I chose one and she spent another 5/10 minutes ignoring me while she put away some foundations before trying it on me and saying it was too yellow. Again, I had the choose another colour myself and that seemed okay. My aunt then asked about the mineralise skin finish as we couldn't see it on display. She (rather rudely) stated "we don't stack that any more" before ordering me to meet her at the tills.
I ended up buying the powder in the store but left regretting buying it. I've never met people as rude as MAC staff. Guess I'll have to order everything online from now...
