Good, BUT: 1) SAND. If you come prepared—great! But many families probably won’t be delighted to escort a little sand monster back to lodging on the Tube; 2) CROWDS. Because of its location, expect LOTS of people and families at most times of the day if the weather is good enough to be outside. Highlight is probably the unique climbing structures (pictured), although many kids will also love the water and sand activities (which were fully functional during our visit in mid May).

Great playground with kids of 5 and 9. Toilets for kids and water fountains for kids inside the toilets. Lots of shadows below the trees for the parents while the kids are playing is this fence protected safe playground. It seems it needs a bit more investment for the broken wood castle to be repaired.

Visited here on a midweek trip to London in early July 2023 and we ended up coming 3 times as it was so chill and enjoyable. The water pumps were hilarious seeing random kids coming together like they were on a construction site. Lovely setting, and we enjoyed Regents Park in general.

Sunny even on a windy spring day but busy. Popular with the schools around and as a result constantly crowded. The sand area is big ( be aware of the health risk for children ) and popular - great on a nice day but a nuisance rest of times. Great variety of playing equipment for very little and grown kids alike. Personally, I would rather take my child to play everywhere on the grounds of the beautiful Regent's Park than sit around on the crowded playground and watch them play with sand. But kids are kids and love the big and inviting...

A great (and quieter) alternative to the Diana Memorial Playground. We live closer to Kensington Gardens but go all the way to Regent's Park to avoid the crowd.

Kids love the sand play area though there is so much more to do than just getting messy! It is also a lovely spot for a small family picnic. There is a convenient little cafe stall at the entrance which serves great Benugo coffee...
