Very expensive for what you get! I have been to other coffee shops where you get better value for money. There was nothing overwhelming or anything that I could say get off the beaten track down a long footpath to get here. Unfortunately you are a sitting duck in a park as there are not any other coffee shops to choose from they have a captive market and they know it. Beverage: The drink range is small and all cups are small paper cups. Food: Cakes, well none worth speaking of a couple of tray bakes, spices of loaf cakes, cookie and a muffin. Very few savoury options and overall unappetising. Service matches the food nothing special or spectacular. When you receive your order the drinks are plonked on the end of the counter leaving you guessing if a drink is yours and what each drink is. Indoors the heating was on full belt and was sweltering. Outside it felt a bit like a prison long tables thank goodness that the long benches could be moved to accommodate Wheelchairs. There were wooden picknic/pup style tables with built in fixed seating. Would I recommend it? Not unless you are desperate but be prepared to start coughing up the cash or handing over the...
Read moreToday at around 11.20am, I was waiting in a queue outside this place as there was a couple inside being served, three people in high viz jackets (prsumanly working for Frieze exhibition)walked passed me without masks, when I told them that I was before them in the queue they said I was waiting outside. Then one of them said I could go in front of them. Behind me one them was saying racist things such as queuing system for somalians and immigrants. The lady serving customers did not say amything and to top it all she did not put milk in my tea and when I can back she said I did not ask for milk. She did not apologise. I will never go there again. You have wait ages and it is over priced and poor quality of staff. There is another cafe further down the...
Read moreI run/jog regularly in and around Regent’s Park and wrap up my runs with a cappuccino and a nibble sometimes. One cafe stands out from the rest mostly because Poona, the barista there, truly knows how to create a cappuccino. The other regent park cafes give me a latte which is a thin layer of silky froth- often hotter than the sun— but Poona creates a smooth THICK layer of froth which is dreamy! And at the correct temp. A well made coffee is such an amazing way to start the day so it’s immensely appreciated when I get a coffee that is correctly made. Makes me so happy!! It’s the little things in life....
