Smithfield's has become essential for those that buy in bulk for large families. During the week, you find direct to market bulk sellers for usual and exotic fruits and vegetables and raw seafood and a great abattoir onsite. We went to Smithfield Market over the bank holiday weekend and left again disappointed .The outside car boot area looks like a scrap metal yard , its a real shame as this used to be bustling with quirky stalls . The inside wasnt much better , the stalls had been spread out more to make it appear fuller but showed that the council werent able to rent out their slots .
