A wonderful art gallery full of excellent quality artworks, but sadly let down by over zealous staff. Once we arrived we were immediately shouted at to remove our small and discreet bags because we were apparently in danger of knocking the artworks. I’m 5ft so this would be borderline impossible. My husband and I were then followed around and watched by the same member of staff, despite there being about 10 other people there at the same time. It's almost as if Christ Church wanted to keep it...

It has some top quality art on display with a focus on Italian art from the 14th to 18th centuries. The collection also includes Russian icons and works from other European artists. And it felt quiet and serene, even on a Saturday noon, so a very welcome change to other, more touristy...
