Very nice 40 minute boat ride from Folly Bridge to Iffley lock and back. Nice commentary. We paid GBP 12.5 per head. It was a short walk from the City Center Bust Stand. Opposite Head of the River pub there is board a cross the bridge which says Salter. That is the office of the boat jetty. It is all about the Oxford University boating Regatta. Many anecdotes and gossip about what students do at the river. Very interesting. Worth a visit. Also walk down the path besides the river and feed bread to the ducks. Nice quiet place and beautiful view of Christchurch college. Walk down to their meadows. At this time of the year the flowes are all bloom. A must visit.

The bridge where Oxford began. The bridge near which Lewis Carroll first read Alice in Wonderland aloud, under which Jerome Klapka's characters swam and where many famous people walked. The famous Head of the River pub and The Paper Boat cafe are located near the bridge. Folly Island has a souvenir shop, a cosy restaurant and boat rental. If you have not been to Folly Bridge, you have not been to Oxford!

Excellent meeting point, and site to visit, due to the view and the river tour choices given. Not to mention the nice beer that one could grab at the near by pubs, if thirsty!
