I came here with my friend for my birthday and had really high hopes considering it was a Sabrina Carpenter themed night. First thing I noticed was that every bottomless brunch table had props and tattoo stickers on the tables, we didn’t. A guy came over and took our order for our first drinks which took 30 minutes to come out which ate into a quarter of our time at the brunch. A lovely lady called Rhea came and sorted our drinks, took our food orders and gave us shots that were part of the brunch theme, all of which should’ve been done within the first 15 minutes. A lot of the staff seemed like they weren’t really doing anything and were just strolling around ignoring tables. We noticed a few other tables complaining about how long it was taking for drinks/food to come out. We established the problem was that the guy taking our orders wasn’t processing them on the till so the bar staff didn’t make our drinks. We didn’t have the amount of drinks that you’re meant to have at a bottomless, I think we had 5 over 2 hours and you’re expected to have at least 8. I can’t thank Rhea enough though, she made our experience much better and if she wasn’t there I don’t even think we would’ve got more than 2 drinks. So overall really not impressed, i’d go back for food because that was good but not for the bottomless. It just seemed as though no one could keep up with the amount of tables so possibly limit the number of bookings more so that those that are paying for food and drinks actually get what...
Read moreWouldn’t reccomend! Service was non existent. Took 10 minutes fo be seated for our booking, all staff very good at avoiding eye contact. Understandably they were busy, however they should not have taken as many bookings or should have been better staffed. Took a whole hour to get our first drink from our table of 6’s ‘bottomless brunch’. This was only because I went to the bar to ask for our cocktails and was handed a bottle of Prosecco as an apology (never actually got the drinks we ordered when we were seated). Food was average, came relatively quickly, drinks were just horrendous - had I not been to the bar to ask for an ETA of our first round I think we would have never been served at the table at all. £35 for a burger and a glass of Prosecco wasn’t exactly what I envisioned with the whole bottomless brunch concept, so asked staff passing by to check on our drinks - still nobody returned with anything. After 90 minutes (only 30 mins left of our booking) I went to the bar and asked to speak to the manager. She didn’t seem suprised when I told her a summary of our evening at all, just tried to tell us that they were busy and she would bring the drinks over and extend our booking. No apologies or professionalism conveyed Averaging out to be a glass of Prosecco every 90 minutes we decided we would rather go elsewhere for cocktails so we ended up leaving. Not sure if booking during the week would probably be more pleasant but will definitely not be...
Read moreSlug & Lettuce, living up to its name, especially with its service. We were a large group of 9/10 people, who placed their orders via the app… Yet somehow, there was about a 30/40 minute wait between the drinks & food being brought out for different people & other, smaller groups, where receiving their orders before we finally got ours.
When it did all arrive, the food was sub-par and we all paid a hefty price for it , approximately £20-25 per person (Food & Drink), which for a restaurant like this, I might as well have gone to wether spoons and I’d have received equally as bad a service.
The waiter who bought our food… was neither here nor there and seemed to lack the basic understanding of the tables in the restaurant as he kept asking what items where missing and seemed unconfident in being able to complete a simple task of being food & drinks to a table.
Speaking of drinks, how does someone mess up a ‘sex on the beach’ not once but twice? Surely they’d not make a mistake a second time, apparently, it’s quite a common thing to happen in places, such as Slug & Lettuce!
Lastly, the overall atmosphere of the place.. absolutely dreadful. Music was FAR too loud, FAR too early and the noise level just kept climbing, meaning everyone had to shout over each other and the place just felt gritty & cheap.
Definitely won’t be going there again and would suggest people...
