Asiad — Restaurant in Wales

An unexpected few days leave at home meant we could make the most of the good weather, and after a good long walk down to Sker house we decide to try cosy corner for a late lunch. The staff are smashing, friendly without being obsequious, and gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu.

We had a couple of Czech beers, and a crab open sandwich plus a roast beef open sandwich. The roast beef was particularly good. Both came with a small portion of chips which was more than enough with the lovely thick slab of brown bread that the crab/beef were laid on.

We saw some very good looking "catch of the day" dishes being served up to our customers, of which there was a steady flow.

The atmosphere is very relaxed. The only downside was the cd playing a dodgy mix of unplugged covers! We paid about £23 for 2 halves and 2 open sandwiches with salad and chips.

We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back again 2 days later. We are keen to try it in the evening now. It's not cheap, but the quality and service...

We turned up on Sunday (booked in advance) when roast dinners were the main theme, but they also did a limited selection of their Asian fusion small plates. On a hot Spring day, we opted for the small plates. They were amazing, apart from the Vietnamese roll, which was a bit dry and rubbery (just personal preferences here). We had all the other dishes on the small menu, and they were all amazing. We can't wait to book the full Asian menu and will be doing so very soon. Felt very welcome and at home from the moment we walked in. I've never been to a place so prepared for people with babies with the thought and attention to detail they put into it. This goes right through the menu and the chefs dishes that are put together brilliantly. Each ingredient complimenting the next. A truly fabulous and friendly place with great staff and excellent chefs. Too bad I only discovered this place on the last day of my holiday.
