This was our second visit to the huts. Had a fabulous time last time. This time I was left feeling like I was not worthy. I was greeted with a "Can I have your £25 cash deposit?". I didn't have any cash.I stated that I had not done this last time go be told "new rules". I asked where the nearest cashpoint was to be told up the big hill and into town. As I had an 82 year old with me and a 5 year old. I told him he would have to wait and I would see what we could cobble together between us. I felt insulted, did I look like I was going to wreck the hut. Myself, granny and my 5 year old daughter, was this likely??? I would have preferred to be spoken to with a Have a good day and just ask if I can help. So we cobbled the cash together leaving us cashless for the rest of the day. But we had a good day by the sea and fortunetly all other facilities had high standards of customer service. Then at the end of the day we had to invite the man over to check, whilst we stood there. He checked we had cleaned, swept and emptied the bins. It felt like a room inspection. So degrading.Did you expect us to trash it? Why would we? Did not sit right with me....
Read moreWe booked Hut # 2 Elizabeth for Sunday 28 April. Made our trip completely stress free. It gives you a great base for the day right on top of the beach. Have as much tea or coffee as you like. Included is a big bottle of water, kettle and mugs with spoons. Best thing is the fold up deck chairs for relaxing out in the sun and we could see our three girls playing on the beach always in sight. Then when the girls wanted to relax, my husband and I went for a walk along the beach for our ‘we time’ - you know, the hand in hand ☺️. Fish and chips, toilets, the famous cliff tramway, the Saltburn miniature train, a restaurant, a children’s arcade and the pier all within 2-3 minutes walk. Well worth the £25 we paid for 11-5. It’s probably £20 on weekdays.
These huts are lovely and there must’ve been atleast 3-4 families who came around asking if they could have a peek inside. Hubby was happy to oblige and market the benefits. They all looked keen to book them for their next trip and suggested he gets a commission on sales for the love and effort he put into pitching these huts.
Thanks guys and keep up the good work. Sharing some...
Read moreI hired ‘Edward’ for the day on 11 July, Carol met us upon arrival and couldn’t have been more helpful. My father is 86 and has advanced Alzheimer’s Disease, Carol immediately offered to supply a folding table and a blanket for his ease and comfort, which was extremely thoughtful and considerate.
Carol informed me regarding her whereabouts throughout the day and ensured that I had her contact number and access to support on site, in her absence.
The hut was perfect, it was clean, tidy and contained cutlery, mugs, a kettle plus complimentary water, tea, coffee, sugar and milk, 2 deck chairs, waste bin, broom, dustpan & brush, washing up bowl, washing up liquid and a tea towel.
I can’t recommend highly enough, we had a fabulous day and I will definitely be booking again, hopefully soon, thank...
