Band stand is beautiful and it is maintained. Sadly some idiots seem to litter it and leave items which may have been from drug taking near it- so just be careful. It does seem to get cleaned up but it's best to be aware.
It leads to the park which is beautifully maintained.
There are lots of nice paths to walk along (wellies may be good if it's wet in places). Quite steep in some parts.
You can walk from the band stand through the park (tea room is worth a visit, it looks very vintage inside with nice cakes. There were even 3 choices of gluten free cake/cookies! I don't think you can sit inside but when I went it was warm. Customer toilet.
