I definitely stayed longer than intended. I sat a while, alone in the tranquility taking in the perfection of the masonry. If you have the opportunity, as I did, pop inside.

Unlike many other cathedrals, St Paul's has become hemmed in by other buildings so its only when you go inside that you can appreciate its true beauty. The foundation stone was laid in 1853, opened for worship in 1855, before being consecrated as a church in 1865, then elevated to a cathedral in 1905.

Beautiful inside and out. I attended the Palmusic concert a week ago and it is a stunning venue for this event. As a place of worship, it is colourful, light and calming. I will keep an eye out for more music events held here as the accoustics were fabulous!

A gorgeous cathedral, inside and out. I was in Dundee and decided to have a look inside - best decision! The people taking care of the cathedral are absolutely lovely and very helpful, and I felt very welcome there. The interior itself is gorgeous, and it has a very pleasant and calm atmosphere.
