Not a good experience. I arrived at the hotel and the man on reception ignored us and carried on typing. He then asked how many nights we where staying and gave us a code to type into a screen for parking. We did that and came back to the counter he carried on typing. Eventually he said sorry I'll be with you in a minute. It felt like a long time. After putting our cases in the room we went straight for dinner. When we got back to the room I found in the bathroom a 8 inch finger line of poo on the wall, some on the toilet seat and toilet paper dispenser. I went back to reception and told the man and he said when did you book in. I said an hour ago but I went straight for dinner. It felt like he thought I had done it so I said give me some cleaning materials and I'll do it myself could you give me a bacterial wipe. We walked to the cleaning cupboard.I originally thought that he was going to give me a wipe but he said I only have this which was a bottle of cleaning solution and a cloth. He said its ok he will do it. When he came to the room I think he realised we had only just got there as we had just started to unpacked. He said sorry and he would take 1 breakfast off the bill. As for breakfast I stayed 3 days and every day I had a cold breakfast because I had to wait for missing items. It was so busy they couldn't keep up. It was half term and the hotel offer is buy a breakfast and the kids eat free. This is for non hotel guests aswell. We had to queue for coffee then queue for toast then queue for hot breakfast. They sat us in the kids play area and it was so noisy I asked to sit somewhere else but they didn't have anywhere. Third day i thought I would ask for a poached egg so it would be hot. Well it was hot but like a hard boiled poached egg. I felt I was sitting in a children's play area cafe stepping over coats and shoes to get my food. They should have a area for hotel guests. Other things I didn't like. Rooms are very hot Woken up at 7am from delivery lorry beeping going past window at back of hotel. Woken up at 8am I think a little elephant running around above us. Doors don't keep the noise out from people walking and taking past the room. Room tired needs decorating walls grubby, paintwork peeling, swollen and black on silicone. Hair's in Bath No chain on bath plug. Struggled to pull it out. Overflow drain plug and taps dirty. Room was small for 4 of us. No Air-Conditioning. No mini fridge. Bed hard. Pillows hard. Usb plug next to bed not working and no plug to charge phone.

I have stayed at quite a few premium inn's and it's always been perfect. This has a shock and I won't ...
Read moreI used to work in a Premier Inn and the customer was always at the heart of the job...however this was not the case in this hotel!!! When we arrived the receptionist was very cold and not very welcoming at all, she was still on shift later on in the day and unfortunately I left my key with my friend in the room. I was waiting for the receptionist (short hair, glasses) to get off of a personal phone call, after a very long 5 mintues, she then acknowled me, covered the microphone, rolled her eyes and asked if I wanted her. I explained that I couldn't get past the locked door as my key was in the room, once again she rolled her eyes and pointed to somebody who had their key who was trying to get in the door with his key, she then went straight back to her phone call as if i was a nuisance. The housekeepers barely said a word as you pass them in the hallway, mainly look at you blankly, HOWEVER, there was one housekeeper, black hair (i think she was housekeeping).. She was lovely, very bubbly and went out of her way to speak to us. If only they could take a leaf out of her book. The rooms don't have any air con and it was 28 degrees in my room they left a very dirty/dusty fan.. As someone who suffers horrendously with asthma this couldn't be used, i swapped with my friends fan as this looked a newer version and was clean. Throughout the night, it was very hot and sticky as we're in the new bit the hallway was horrendously hot as none of the windows were open either. On the 2nd night it was still humid however was horrendously windy and as we face the car park the wind was howling through the window making our door shake including the bathroom door which kept us up nearly all night, couldn't close the window as it was so sticky and hot! So overall im very disappointed, but the location was great as you're a short distance away from town and a small walk...
Read moreI cant lie here this hotel is an avoid at all costs when it’s hot. Got into my room after a 10 Hour Drive to be greeted with a Room at 29 Degrees with the window open and curtains closed. Luckily we had some in-laws staying with us in a cooler room but still not really acceptable (25 Degrees). I was the lucky one in the family and went to sleep jn their room as they had an extra bed. My family’s room was apparently so bad they were having cold showers apparently they told us at breakfast. In fairness Breakfast was good and very tasty. Went back up to the rooms which were still boiling. My in laws room had gone up in temperature which wasn’t great. In my family’s room 2 of them had heatstroke and one threw up violently too. One didn’t come to a family event because of the heatstroke caused by the temperature of the room. They have luckily moved rooms to a cooler room at 25 Degrees. My in-laws room was at around 28 Degrees from 25 at the start of the day. If your looking for work Premier Inn to stay in look elsewhere this is an avoid at all costs in summer. Shoutout to the staff who were friendly and did what they could but it doesn’t take away from physical illness happening because you haven’t installed air con in your room. At the time of staying there we’re older people in the building who were sleeping there and they weren’t doing great. Having a boiling room is one thing. To have people been violently sick and badly heatstroke, especially older people, then thats when you know it’s bad. Install air con now...
