Heeley People's Park — Attraction in Sheffield

Lovely little playpark good for all ages, its enclosed but has three gates so must keep an eye on kids. I love that its on 2 levels has a small wooded area to "explore". Only down side for me with young child is the big spinning hammock type swing takes up a lot of space and is v dangerous if a kid was to get in its path. The rest of the park is nice to walk through 2 big climbing walls, an intresting wooden structure/sculpture with a view over the west side of Sheffield. One delightful feature is all the interesting plants and trees, lots of edible fruits...

I grew up here but hadn't visited the park before.It is a lovely green oasis which has been so well thought out by the local community. It has fantastic play areas for children but lovely places for stealing a few quiet moments. I am delighted that the streets I remember as a kid have been turned into this. Last day of pax in the park. Run by the Dorthy pax bar. From Victoria Quays. It's been a very professional thought out event with safety and security foremost . All the bands were amazing.
