Genting Casino Stoke — Attraction in Stoke-on-Trent

01/04/23 An update on my review for Genting Stoke. We used to enjoy playing black jack and 3 card poker on the electronic machines but now they have removed them, now you can only play different forms of roulette or baccarat. There is less choice now for those not opting to play the tables, which get heavily used and there are not enough of them to accommodate the numbers. So we had to play on the slots which again are heavily used and you have to join a queue to get on them. Spoiled our night out so we will now look at other casinos in the area that offer more variety. Sad as we enjoyed our visits to the casino.

Since my last review below they now do soft drinks tea and coffee for free to those at the machines and tables. We have been a few times now and enjoy the ambiance there. The staff are fantastic and make you feel really welcomed.

Good night out. Shame they dont do free soft drinks and warm drinks like the other casino in hanley does whilst your at the tables. The staff are helpful and friendly. The place has a good atmosphere. The only issue i see is with the slot machines because some people play 3 ,4 even 5 machines at anyone time so its extremely difficult to get on one and lots have reserved signs on yet no one plays them for ages probably because they are playing another machine and holding the reserved one so no one else can use it. There should be a rule where you can only play one machine at a time to allow other people a chance to get on them otherwise people will...

I booked Genting's casino for Friday 15th November 2024 to celebrate my husbands 40th Birthday. From the very start, the communication was brilliant with Carole and she even arranged for the balloons to be put on the table. I took the cake up before arriving and they looked after it (make sure you put in your number plate, even for a quick drop off or a parking ticket will be sent. Obviously it was squished because I proved I was there only to drop cake off). All staff that looked after us were so lovely and very approachable. There was 17 of us that ate there and everyone commented how lovely the food was and how brilliant the staff were. There were some guest that came but didn't eat and they too had a good night. All reasonably priced food as well. The cocktails we had were on offer and we asked how long the offer was on and they said probably all night but after one round they apparently ran out of ice and couldn't continue the cocktail offer, only on the tap they had. This was disappointing but did not ruin our evening. The one pina colada cocktail I had was very delicious. You are not pushed to gamble, you can just sit and chill in the bar area if you wanted. Just been to genting and i can say me and my wife have enjoyed going there over the last few weeks. But over the last couple of times we have not enjoyed it much and today we found out that the food has gone up and the menu is now smaller. I mean a small portion of cheesy chips in a small bowl used to cost £3.00 and is now £5.00. This is extortionate and my god for that price i would want 6 portons not a hand full of fries in a small dish. Its still a good place to eat if you like junk food and bar snacks now but the only problem is they dont cater for vegans like my wife and she struggles to find things on their menu, and she really does struggle. I asked a memberof staff about doing food for vegans but he says he can only provide whats on the menu! So it looks like vegans are not welcome to eat in these places and i think its wrong. So start mixing the menu with bar food and meat meals and also do vegan meals because we dont to all eat meat . So with no vegan food i dont think i will be going back to this place.
