We visited for lunch and had a great experience! Wagamama Japanese Restaurant has left a lasting impression on me with its exceptional ambience, impeccable service, friendly waitstaff, and delectable food. My recent dining experience there was truly a delightful culinary journey.
From the moment I stepped foot into this branch of Wagamama, I was captivated by the inviting and contemporary ambience. The sleek and modern decor, combined with soft lighting and vibrant colors, created an atmosphere that was both trendy and cozy. The open kitchen concept added an element of excitement as I watched the skilled chefs effortlessly prepare the dishes.
The service at Wagamama was truly top-notch. From the moment I was seated, the waitstaff made us feel welcomed and attended to our need. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations based on my preferences. I was impressed by their attentiveness, ensuring that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable from start to finish.
The waiter assigned to my table was exceptional. Not only was he friendly and accommodating. The menu was a treasure trove of tantalizing Japanese delights. From the aromatic bowls of ramen to the flavorful stir-fries, every dish I tried was a true masterpiece. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, showcasing the authenticity of Japanese cuisine. The presentation of the dishes was visually stunning, adding to the overall dining experience. The menu also caters to various dietary preferences, with a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options available.
I would highly recommend trying their vegan 'chicken' Kare women. The rich and flavorful broth, combined with the perfectly cooked noodles and an array of toppings, created a bowl of pure satisfaction. The sticky vegan ribs was also a highlight. Also, this restaurant has a nice parking area and its...

Service was amazing, our server Mitch was super friendly, attentive and quick with taking our orders and bringing food out. They even double-checked with my boyfriend about his spice tolerance. He’s actually quite sensitive to spicy things and neither of us realised the dish he’d chosen was on the hotter side so we really appreciated the heads up! He even made sure we got two spoons when we asked for one dessert to share.
We ordered cocktails which were just okay. My sake spritz was flat — I’m not sure if the sparkling water came from a bottle or on draught but there were barely any bubbles at all. Was more of a sake still than a sake spritz. My partner had the pandan passion fruit colada which is served short but there was so much ice in it than he had about two sips and it was gone. At almost £9 a cocktail, save your money and go get bevs at Spoons instead!
Thankfully the food was ace. We had pulled pork bao and salmon gyoza to start off and they were both super tasty. Gyoza were steamed to perfection and the bao buns were super pillowy.
My beef brisket ramen was divine!! I usually get the chilli chicken or chilli steak ramen so this was a change for me and it was amazing, I’ll definitely be having it again. My partner also loved his chicken gyoza ramen. We finished off with the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake which was one of the nicest cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Super decadent, rich and gingery. Loved it!
I’d definitely visit the Stoke branch again, but perhaps pass on the cocktails next time for a...
Read moreI'm quite disappointed . I ordered the vegatsu .when it came it had no tofu. I questioned this and then they told me they didn't have it in .i don't understand why they didn't tell me when i ordered ?.the waitress kindly said I could try it but change the dish if I wasnt happy, however I still ate it because my partner was eating , i didnt want to wait for another dish as it was busy , there wasn't any waitresses available at the time and I didnt have a menu to chose again anyway, I didn't feel I had much faith at this point anyway and I was hungry. plus it was tofu I really wanted, and I think they would have charged me if I had something else.maybe I should have tried to ask I dont know .the description of the meal on the menu had far more on it than what came on my plate! . I just had a thin vegan chicken breast which was dry with katsu curry and rice and a few leaves, .the bang bang cauliflower side was tasty but not very substantial. This isn't like the wagamamas I know and usually love .Although the waitresses were pleasant enough , the style of service wasn't for me, I can appreciate they were busy but it just didnt feel very attentive and it was clear I wasn't happy . It came to £54 which would have been well worth it if all the above was better. Apologies But I feel like it was a waste of money this time .wish I had taken photos so you could see...
