When we visited this Japanese restaurant in the birthplace of Shakespeare for our 8th anniversary, we felt warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped inside. The staff were incredibly kind, with the waitress standing out for her knowledge and expertise, especially when it came to wine and beer. She effortlessly guided us through the wine list, pairing our dishes with the perfect selections that enhanced every flavor on our plates.
The authenticity of the food here is remarkable, truly reminiscent of what you'd find in Japan, crafted from genuine recipes and fresh ingredients. The sushi was exceptionally memorable for its freshness. Every dish served was a testament to the chef’s skill, presenting not just a meal, but a culinary artwork that delighted our senses.
On our special day, the chef’s dedication to Japanese cuisine shone brightly, offering us a taste of advanced cooking techniques that only someone deeply passionate about their craft could provide. The waitress’s recommendations for sake (forgot to take a photo) pairings only elevated the experience, making our anniversary dinner not just a meal, but a journey through tastes and cultures.
Celebrating our 8th anniversary in Shakespeare’s hometown, at this restaurant, was an unforgettable experience. The combination of delicious, authentic Japanese food, the warm and attentive service, and the exceptional knowledge of their waitress in selecting the perfect wine, left us with full hearts and a longing to return. If you find yourself in this charming town, don’t miss the opportunity to dine here. It’s a journey worth taking, especially for those who appreciate the fine art of food and...
Read moreBooking: i had to call twice to make a single booking. First time the staff said would check and call me to confirm. Yet, no follow up. The next day I called them again to check. Although booking was done finally, the response from the staff didn’t seem like present.
Food: the ramen soup was genuinely impressive. I couldn’t stop praising it in front of the staff. The staff in turn gave no response to my compliment. I rarely meet a restaurant staff not responding to a customer’s compliments. That’s a bit odd to me. Sushi rice was a bit dry Other food were so so too. They were simply overpriced compared with the quality.
Service: my child was not feeling well . I asked if I could be given some hot water because of this. The staff told me they would charge £1 for hot water. I was not sure if this was written on the menu on site or it’s the norm for restaurants like this. (Just checked, It’s not listed on its website) Telling me the £1 charge for hot water was the only response from the staff, without any care or empathy at that moment. Wonder if any customer would not have a bad feeling.
It really worths my time to...

We started with the assorted tempura, which was absolutely delicious. The batter was light and crispy, and the seafood and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The dipping sauces were also really good, and they perfectly complemented the tempura.
Next, we tried the ramen, which was also amazing. The broth was rich and flavourful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The toppings were also really good, and they added a lot of flavour and texture to the dish.
Finally, we had some sushi, which was the highlight of the meal. The fish was so fresh and flavourful, and the sushi rice was perfectly seasoned - amazing, and it was just melt-in-your-mouth good.
