Entertainment: Mini golfing experience is lovely with four courses (Amber, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire). Can get quite busy during the evening peak times. Multiple screens to track scores and this is very user friendly, with player names displayed. Lots of staff around to help, so an added bonus. You can also leave personal belongings in the cloakroom and pick these up when you leave with the ticket that they provide.
Food: The downside is the awful and somewhat disgusting food. Got the chicken bites (no seasoning on batter/breadcrumbs), three cheese pizza (base not crisp and the type of cheese used was revolting with a funky smell). The OG Cheeseburger was with a well cooked 'medium' patty and decent, but again although the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger was moist, it was still tastless with no seasoning. Flour, batter, breadcrumbs or any such coating must have salt and other seasoning mixed to give the patty flavour. The Lamb Kebabs, again, no seasoning on the skewers with brick hard tortilla which you can't wrap around the meat. The only plus point were the addictive parmesan truffle fries. We just couldn't eat the food, and did not think it was something we could take home with us. Not tasty at all.
Drinks: The Non-alocoholic drinks selection were poor as well, especially during a time when Non-alocoholic Mocktails have become popular everywhere. We got the No Amaretto Sour (like drinking rotten orange juice) and Raspberry No Martini drink (this taste was pleasant and much better). The former was extremely bitter and hands down the worst drink I've ever had. Basically, they cater for a Muslim diet with many Halal food items on the menu (marked with a H), but don't have the fancy drinks to match the Halal label. It's purely an alcohol based drinks menu. Soft drinks are available, and the lemonade was OK. Bit boring though.
Will only visit for some fun mini-Golf as the food was shockingly bad. Waste of money on the latter - £70 quid that I could have spent elsewhere.
3/5 purely for the mini-golf experience and vibe. Music is too loud in my opinion. You can't have a...
Read moreOur family recently spent an afternoon at Puttshack Watford, and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had together! From the moment we arrived, we were drawn in by the sleek, colorful decor and lively energy that filled the space. It felt like we’d entered a mini-golf wonderland, perfectly designed to bring out everyone’s playful side.
Each hole at Puttshack is its own adventure. Unlike traditional mini-golf, Puttshack takes it to the next level with a high-tech, interactive scoring system that tracks your performance on its own – no need for scorecards or pencils! Each hole had creative themes and unique twists, keeping all of us, from the youngest to the oldest, engaged and laughing as we navigated the challenges. The blend of competition and creativity in the design was fantastic, making every turn feel like a new discovery.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. They were happy to explain the game mechanics and even offered tips to make sure we got the most out of our experience. Their genuine enthusiasm made us feel right at home and eager to play our best.
To top it off, the food and drink selection was much better than we expected! The menu had a great variety, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and delivered right to our table, making it easy to keep playing without missing a beat. It was such a treat to relax with delicious food in between rounds.
If you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly experience in Watford, Puttshack is a must-visit. It’s an ideal blend of fun, challenge, and quality service that’s perfect for all ages. We left with huge smiles, and we’re already planning...
Read moreOh dear... its all gone wrong... been visiting this place for ages now and taken advantage of ALL offers they give you. Today was a disaster. Got there, played our golf as usual then decided to use a 50% off food voucher given to me last time I visited. GREAT i thought well NO. Turns out I couldn't use it there even though they gave it to me on my last visit. Of course we questioned it to staff member ( bar man ) who informed us in no uncertain terms that it's only valid in white city and bank locations. I promptly showed him the usual printed t's and c's printed in black and white on the voucher which stated EXCLUDING WHITE CITY AND BANK LOCATIONS. . Now, words are amazing things and have many meanings but the word EXCLUDING means CANNOT be used in the 2 stated locations. Oh dear, oh dear, this bar guy was not only wrong but tried to palm us off with his take on the English language. After correcting this barman , think it was jay or Jake, suprise suprise we never saw him again not even for an apology. We used our voucher as INTENDED ON THE BACK OF IT and enjoyed the food which was fantastic. Special mention to Zaman who went out of his way to mediate between ourselves and this poor misunderstood barman and offered us a free game as apology. Please management read this and if you give out promotions make sure ALL your staff know what they are all about and there usage. Apart from this misdemeanor we will be going again. It was one of those things but apart from that puttshack watford is great and...
