I truly can’t recommend this place highly enough. When my car broke down unexpectedly, I had to spend the night at the hotel and the following day at the pub. From start to finish, the experience was far better than I could have hoped for in such a stressful situation.

The facilities were spotless, cosy, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The staff were incredibly kind, understanding, and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Throughout the day, while I waited for my recovery vehicle, they offered complimentary food and drinks and checked in regularly to see if there was anything else they could do to help.

I've been coming here regularly lately as a devoted participant in the weekly pub quizzes and I absolutely love it! Ben always brings great energy and creates a fun, lively atmosphere that keeps us coming back. Fantastic stay at The Westgate! The room was bright and very clean. Special shout out to all the lovely staff! Aiden was extremely welcoming when we arrived on a busy Saturday evening in the pub. He prioritised welcoming us, ensuring we were settled in. Emily at breakfast was great, joyful, kind, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Our two small dogs and us felt very welcomed.
