Rancho Alegre Meat and Produce — Attraction in Aberdeen

Called and asked if we could place an order for tamales, the gentleman on the phone says to come down no need to pre-order and they're hot ready to go. I show up 20 minutes later but had a hard time finding the place because the power went out. After finding the place I see a bunch of people sitting around and 2 people standing at the counter. So I stand and wait and a younger gentleman says can I help you? I ask about the tamales we called about and he replies "sorry, were closed". I reply "we just called and someone said to come down". He replies "I know but the power is out we're closed". Had he allow me to pre-pay for tamales, as we tried to do when calling, everything would have been OK when the power went out but the tone in his voice seemed he didn't care nor was compassionate that I drove 40 minutes to buy food from them. This guy is top-notch! He used to be over in the mall before it was shut down. Now they're right in the heart of the Aberdeen one ways. Everything we've gotten has been excellent. Superb cuts of meat. They make their own wrapped and stuffed chicken breast. I recommend the bacon wrapped jalapeno chicken. They have fresh family made tamales. You can even get the tamales warm and ready to eat on the weekends. Watch out for the spicy pork it is spicy man. The pineapple ones were like a dessert and darn good. I found this place after being extremely dissatisfied on multiple occasions with another well-known local meat supplier in Aberdeen. I dealt with Hector. He was extremely patient and helpful and called me by my first name which just felt really warm and friendly. They're a family run meat supplier that has high quality meats.
