Adams Visitor Center — Attraction in Adams

The visitor center was very informative. We actually went there for the scenic antique train ride. That was a big disappointment. Tickets were 20$ for a 55 minute train ride supposedly to see the fall foliage. We drove up for 25 minutes and reversed back the same way through a narrow area of train tracks through several small towns. There was debris and brush/ weeds grown up on either side of the tracks. Looking for some things to do in the Berkshires, two friendly and informative gentlemen manning the desk gave us some good information about the areas attractions. They also told us about the Thunderbolt Ski Runners and directed us to a very interesting film about the history and the role some of the skiers had in WWII. Well made film. What a great place to visit took a scenic train ride from Adam's to North Adam's. Also rose bikes on the bike path that runs along the Hoosic. We had a great time and brought our dog with us who also got to swim in the water as we went along. Definitely...
