Daily Grind — Restaurant in Adams

Me and two others enjoyed a generous breakfast here. The food was delicious. It was a little weird to order, eat THEN pay, but that's fine. The atmosphere is terrible, but I don't care about that very much. The tables and chairs are very old second-hand pieces. The bathroom was dirty and everything felt like it was in disrepair. But at the end of the day, I really don't care about that very much. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. Nobody came by to see if we needed more coffee or beverages because this is mostly a serve-yourself place. So I can't give it high marks in 'service' because there isn't much. the seating was limited but we were there on a Saturday morning at 9:30am. But I don't want to give the place a bad rap - the food was REALLY good! When one of our party got the pancakes with whipped cream they even added sprinkles because HOW FUN ARE SPRINKLES?! All I have to say is.... WOW!!!! The best sandwich makers around!!! Not to mention the TASTIEST, FRESHEST, CUSTOM to your order food in North County! I've been a Google reviewer for quite a few years, and of all other small businesses, this is one of the top favorites of mine! The ONLY reason they did not get 5 stars from me.... they ARE pretty expensive. I had a very tasty roast beef club sandwich... That's all... it was close to $8!!!! I can see if chips and a soda were included... that would be an EXTREMELY great value... but JUST a sandwich for about $8 is a bit nuts! That would PROBABLY be why they don't have A LOT of customers at one time like they use to, and don't have a whole lot of repeat customers... notice I DID NOT say they NEVER have repeat customers.... cause they do... but definitely not ALOT.... if they lower their prices I can almost guarantee waaaaay more buisness... regardless, great job...

Our first experience here and I have to say I was not disappointed. Overall customer service was pleasant helpful and courteous. Food was a 10 out of 10. They hit the ball out of the park with the corned beef hash (house made) and very fluffy pancakes. The broccoli bacon omelet special was tasty and everything served was on the level of "generous". The atmosphere has a welcoming throw back home feel. I look forward to returning a few more times to compare their other selection. .but based on this time I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed the course. I recommend going and enjoying a relaxing...
