3 months ago I brought in a stringed necklace to this shop with the hopes of getting it restrung. They told me they would have to ship it out and that it would take awhile. so I was expecting it to take about a month or so. The first time I called them was about a month later for any updates, the most they could tell me is that my necklace was just shipped out. about 3 weeks ago I called again asking for another update and telling them I know longer wanted them to fix it, because at this point it had been 3 months with no update about my necklace. They tell me (at least what I remember) that my necklace would be getting shipping to me in about a week or so, and they had my email to let me know anything else. This week, I called them asking about my necklace, explaining how they said they would ship it to me, however some man on the phone was very adamant that that’s not what was said, and that 3 months was a normal waiting time (never mentioned to me) he also sent me an email later telling me he said it would be shipped to them in store, he also said in that same email that my necklace was ready. (Something I only was told because I took time out of my day to call them, not because they did their job to contact me) Finally, today when I picked up my necklace it had all the beads and all the claps only it was 2 sizes smaller, and the claps itself no longer works….. the necklace that use to lay perfectly around my neck and rest on my collarbone is now a CHOKER that will be too small if I gain weight because of how SMALL IT IS. They tried to explain it was the same necklace, it still had all the beads and all the claps, but even when we explained that It was much smaller then before and that we have a picture for proof. They told us that WE should have told them that I wanted it exactly like how it was in the picture. Because of course it takes someone really smart to figure out that if you want a jewelry repair that you MAY just want the repair to still look the same and not a necklace for a CHILD! I am very disappointed to say the LEAST, the necklace belonged to my mother who passed several years ago, and to think I trusted someone with something so precious will definitely teach me a lesson. And I hope before you go with this business that this review also teaches...
Read moreThe amount of good things I have to say about Dr Gold would make for far too long of a post so I’ll try my best to keep it as short and sweet as possible. I started following Dr Gold on instagram a year or two ago and immediately loved everything about them, their craftsmanship, beautiful pieces, affordability and incredible customer service to name a few things. So in February of this year when my now fiancé asked me if I wanted to go together to start looking at engagement rings it was the first place we went. Long story short, it ended up being the only place we went to look because we were sold on Dr Gold from the start. The customer service was amazing (throughout this process we worked with Amy who we loved and plan to go back to for our wedding bands). The price point on my nearly 2.5 carat diamond stone was unlike any other place I had heard of. After my fiancé and I picked out what we liked together I was kicked out of the process but my fiancé mentioned that Amy would frequently give him updates on the process and timeline of my custom engagement ring and was so great to work with. We got engaged in May and the ring was beyond my wildest dreams and is truly so perfect, they did an outstanding job of creating something that will we will cherish forever and pass down generations. Fast forward to today- I had an incident at work that could’ve resulted in a broken bone but fortunately just resulted in the metal on my ring bending (this has nothing to do with their craftsmanship- gold is a softer metal than others and I chose a very thin band). I was so upset and came in, within 20 minutes it was completely fixed FREE of charge. The ONLY thing I will mention which isn’t even bad but they originally told my fiancé that the turnover time for the custom engagement ring he ordered would be 3-4 weeks and it ended up being closer to 7-8, so just keep that in mind when ordering a custom ring if you have a quick turnaround for the engagement and be sure to emphasize that timeline to them- luckily it wasn’t an issue for us timeline wise.
Thank you Dr. Gold for EVERYTHING! We will be back soon for our wedding bands! If you are considering Dr. Gold, run, do not walk there for all your...
Read moreHonestly! I wish I could give them 10 stars! If you could think of the perfect jewelry store this would be it. They are extremely customer oriented. Got both my and my husband’s wedding bands here. They are beautiful rings. Had a issue with the KT of our rings they fixed it right away. I have a skin allergy to certain metals. Needless to say the ring I purchased wasn’t pure and had plating my finger broke out. i was dreading coming in because i have been at jewelry stores before and have had bad experiences with them just being rude. Came in told them what happened. They looked at it said they would fix it. Apologized for the inconvenience meanwhile my hubby got me a new engagement ring at the same time for our 4 years. Turns out the ring wasn’t pure they remade me a pure ring with the stones from my band to match the engagement ring.
i am just amazed at their service. They own up to any issues that arise and are never rude. I have seen very few jewelers that will go above and beyond for their customers like they do. They are in the business of making people happy.
As for time inconvenience, they told me id have it back by Wednesday and when they found out it’s be longer bc it was the entire ring that had an issue. They told me a more accurate day. Yes i was internally upset but l understand. We get what we pay for and them taking their time means they are being careful and detailed in their work. We are human and things take time.
Thank you DR. Gold staff you guys...
