If they tell you to call someone to have something added to your account after you leave because they're having technical difficulties, have them call before you leave and deal with "tech support" so you leave with a device that's ready to go. Don't let them push the work off to you.
The people working in this store were friendly and they accepted my modem trade in and got me new equipment. But they weren't able to add it to my account for some reason and sent me off with a phone number that was not actually helpful. I spent 73 minutes on the phone with customer service, who lied and said they were technical support, and then couldn't set up the hardware as promised. I had to rearrange my next day for an appointment that they then called the next morning to fix over the phone at an inopportune time so they could cancel said appointment.
There's no way to tell the store they gave me the wrong phone number and made my day miserable unless I drive 30 minutes back to them, so I can only hope they see...
