Otero County Fair Associates — Attraction in Alamogordo

It was not a good experience 😕 I'm never entering my vegetables again as long as these people are judging! The judging is very bias. If the judge knows you, you will not win, even if you are wonderful person. Mind you I am not friends with any of the judges nor am I on bad terms with any of them. I don't think that the judges or their spouses or anybody related to them should be there when you're entering your vegetables! It needs to be anonymous you should only have a number on your vegetable no names so they don't know who's item it is and...

So many people slam the new design and complain about it without even giving it a chance. I think they worked very hard to make the fair safe for everyone, especially the children that go. Those older buildings were falling down and the electric wires were not safe. The new pavilion is awesome and now when it rains, which it usually does during fair time, we're protected under the pavilion and can stay at the fair. I think they did a great job so far. I am part of the fair association. They have a year round job maintaining structures, securing the rides for the fair. Working with the local rodeo association, 4H and FFA for livestock judging.
