There was a draft when I visited the store on Sunday, Dec 3, 2023 because of open doors. It seemed they had no HVAC for filtering air so compensated for that with open doors. The clothing smelled bad, like it had not been washed. They should really wash that clothing. God knows where it has been. The quality of men's clothing was poor and expensive ($10 for shirts and pants, most of which were heavily used and some of which were damaged). I wonder if they have any filtering. The clerk was very helpful, answering questions, making suggestions and confronting a man, who was going on and on about all sorts of racially charged nonsense, in a respectful way (she simply pointed out he was harrassing her), so he left after a few minutes of jabber. I found a pair of shorts that I bought, which were in good condition. They were $6.99 but since they were in a rack with pants marked as $9.99, it was unclear how much they cost until I paid for them. They clothing was not sorted well. Many women's clothing items were mixed into menswear. Wrong sizes and wrong categories was slso an issue. It seemed there was only one clerk and she was often busy processing purchases. There may have been a man processing donations but I wasn't sure. It would be nice if employees had distinctive, identifiable clothing or at least an obvious badge with their name, so they were more approachable and obvious. I looked around at other things in the store and didn't find anything else interesting or desirable. Most of the store seemed to be devoted to women's wear and there were several women looking through the men's wear. People were...
Read moreI canât remember the last time I ever reviewed something but my experience here has left a bad taste . We went in and found a suitcase record player marked $5, we tested it to see if it worked and it did cool(mind you these type of record players are like $20-25 new and this one was in bad condition, hence why we tested it). We found 4 identical plates and one plate had a price for $6 and written on it said set (4). We get to the register and some older lady said âoh I seen you tested the record player, $5 is not the price itâs $10. Do you want it or not?â Whatever we paid it, she gets to the plates and picks up the one that didnât have a price and says âoh thereâs no price howâs $3.99 each?â Then sees the price that was marked and was like âoh that doesnât seem right but I guess soâ. Look I donât mind paying a price for something we want, $5 more for the cheap record player is fine, but why label stuff then make prices up at the register? I hardly ever stop at thrift stores because the prices are getting higher and higher for inventory that get donated to a store for free. I will never visit this location again and will detour my...
Read moreStaff tried their best, but very unprofessional and unable to understand simple concepts. For example, a âthrift storeâ ,that gets the stuff they sell for FREE from donations, shouldnâtt be priced above the price they are sold brand new at the store.
When I brought it up to them and showed them the price at other stores, the response was, âthen why donât you go to the store and get it?â. IM AT THE STORE! The alleged âthrift storeâ.
Also, theyâre selling a digital alarm clock from the 80âs for $19.99. I found a slew of the same ones on eBay for the same price with free shipping.
What has goodwill turned into? I understand the cost of doing business, but we shouldnât have to pay, at, or above the price in a regular store at GOODWILL!
P..S. I am poor and this is...
