I seem to be one of the few to have had a poor experience here. I’m sure typically these guys do an all around great job, however I wanted to share my experience and frustrations.
We chose The Natty Dresser based both on reviews, and I wanted to support a small business from my hometown, however, if I could go back, I would absolutely take my business elsewhere.
Yes, everyone looked great in the suits we ordered, but there were a couple issues.
Every person in my wedding party was told the same thing: get measured, and suits will be in 1-2 weeks before the wedding so everyone could try them on and they could make any adjustments needed. Every person in my wedding party was told these time frames, however, the suits did not arrive until 3 days before the wedding. I understand issues happen outside a business’s control sometimes, my issues comes from me calling in, telling them what they told me, and having the person on the other side of the phone laugh at me and say they would NEVER give us that time frame. Own your mistakes. Don’t sit there and laugh at me and tell me I’m wrong when you told 6 different people the same thing at 6 different sizing appointments.
Since they got the suits so late, several members of my wedding party had to take a day off work to come do a last second fitting. The biggest issue there was one person had to come from Tillamook. A 5 hour round trip. He came in, his shirt did not fit correctly. Saturday comes for the wedding and they sent the same shirt that didn’t fit right. So essentially he did the 5 hour round trip for nothing because they didn’t fix what didn’t fit. This was the same thing on another groomsman. He came in to make sure everything fit and they could make adjustments but on Saturday they sent us the same shirt that didn’t fit.
I understand mistakes happen, but the rudeness of the staff to me, and the failure to own your mistakes when they happen is unacceptable to me. Suits were great, but if I could do it all over again I’d get my suits elsewhere. They aren’t worth the extra stress they added on an already...

This is the consummate men’s store. The folks that work there are seasoned experts and the owners are hands on and committed to what they do. What they do is provide men (and their partners) a safe, judgment free place where you’ll see how clothes truly do make the man.
My wife and I went to this wonderful store after I found myself standing in front of my closet looking at my wardrobe of t-shirts, cheaply made polos, blue jeans and sneakers. I realized then, at 66, I didn’t have a nicer shirt than the newest t-shirt in my closet. I went online, found Natty Dresser and the mission was set.
When we arrived at their absolutely gorgeous location in Albany, we went in and met Ronni (I hope I spelled that correctly) and told her my t-shirt story. She took a look, told me what size I was (no measurements needed yet) and disappeared into the store. She came back with a shirt that was absolutely NOTHING resembling anything I would have picked for myself. She said, “Let’s just see what it looks like”, and off I went to try it on. The second I slipped into that shirt I understood why Ronni selected it. It fit me better, felt better and looked better than any shirt I had ever tried on. It literally moved me so much that I almost cried.
It was at that point that my wife turned me over to Ronni and had a seat. I was taken on a tour of men’s clothing options. Unsurprisingly, the options were plentiful and quite varied with something available for every man, young or mature. This place will change how you look at yourself and how you feel about yourself in the most positive way. Clothing that fits, is well made, looks good and is VERY affordable is wonderful to own and wear. I went home with the beginnings of a great new wardrobe and the excitement of a different look without spending a huge amount of money.
The Natty Dresser is now my place-even for blue jeans and t-shirts! One visit and you’ll never go...
Read moreTop notch! It is a treat to have haberdashers and tailors fit a suit properly. The cozy shop is matched by efficient friendly, personal and professional staff. I stumbled across their website and gave The Natty Dresser a try. It was a perfect fit. I enjoyed the experience. I look forward to returning. After great help and support involving two weddings, proms, business trips, birthdays and more than one rainy day visit, an edit is needed.
My family has been in and out of your store each summer for the last two years. And times between. Your store is a treat. Seeing them move from their old store to the new larger building was a delight. I hope they have more such success. It is well earned.
There are few good rites of passage that mark growth and maturity in our modern world. Getting a well tailored suit is one such practice that remains. It is not simply for show, but for self-respect and respect of the event and people involved in the event, which serves as the reason for getting dressed up. Perhaps it is a bit of a luxury. It certainly feels luxurious.
Having someone take the time and skill to help a person present their best self and have confidence is not simply a luxury though. It is an investment in time, effort, and skill that gives weight and meaning to statements like, "This is my son with whom I am well pleased." Or more simply, "I love you." My daughter did not wear a suit to get married, but her husband was dressed in a suit fitted and provided by The Natty Dresser. On their day, it was part of how he said, "You're worth my best effort."
Whatever the case, there is a lot that can be said by how we dress. Understanding what it means to dress comfortably and confidently is an understanding that grows from experience and with one generation passing that knowledge to the next. So is learning how much meaning fills a suit.
The Natty Dresser has been part of my family's life. The memories that were made with and in their suits will not be forgotten. They will...
