My co worker told me this place on Wyoming had good burgers so we decided to have a take out lunch. Both of us signed on to e-club with our email addresses so that our order would have free fries with the burgers. Okay, all seems good, we call in our order. I go to pick up 15 minutes later. I walk in the door and ask the hostess where to pick up a to go order and she literally just points to the bar and without what I would call a welcoming greeting. Strike ONE. I go to the bar and speak with a gentleman and state that I'm here to P/U an order. Not friendly. Strike TWO. He tells me the price and I'm like how do two hamburgers cost over $30? Apparently it included the orders for fries. I explained to him that we had done the e=club sign on with our emails and explained that to the person who took our order. I'm not kidding you...he made me prove that I sent the email and got the reply. Didn't ask for my email to verify and my co-workers as well. It wasn't a very uplifting experience. Strike THREE. So...I pay for order, minus paying for one set of fries, total $26.97, NO TIP. Go two blocks away to our office and the fries are limp and soggy. I threw them away they were so nasty. My Green Chili Burger? Cooked okay, but tasteless. Green Chili? Couldn't tell. Bun was soggy and fell apart. Strike FOUR. So? Five Stars? Far from it. Sub par customer service from both staff members. Sub par food for the money. Five Guys is leaps and bounds ahead of this place. Will I go back? Most likely not. Will I suggest it to anyone? Yea...to not go. Customer service is everything to me, I can live with so so food, but overall, this place gets One Star. For...
Read moreI have been to 5 Star Burgers many times before tonight. I absolutely love their juicy, cook to order burgers. Their beef is simply the best and it is from New Mexico. My kids love the milkshakes, because they are made with real ice cream and they give you a huge serving, which includes a glass with whip cream and a cherry garnish and the remainder is in the stainless steel mixing cup. The milkshakes are not cheap. You get what you pay for.
Tonight, my kids each ordered a milkshake. They were served milkshakes in a small plastic kids cup with a top and straw as if they ordered one milkshake and their ages did not exceed 2 in total. These were some really expensive milkshakes. There was no whip cream or cherry on top. The extra milkshake left in the stainless steel mixing cup was not served to us. And the milkshake was not creamy, instead it was watered down with ice chips. I am not sure what happened to their milkshake recipe. My kids did not order iced beverages.
To top the evening off, We ordered our burgers requesting they be cooked from medium to medium-rare. What we received were pieces of overcooked meat that was too tough and dense to be put on the bottom of shoes. I cannot believe they actually tried to serve us this garbage.
They sent us out another order of burgers. By this time, the french fries were eaten. We had to ask for the accoutrements over and over again. The burgers were still not right, juicier, but not right and the buns were ice cold.
Same old excuses, cooks in-training???? Blah, blah, blah..... They discounted the bill and gave us coupons for next time.
I usually go to 5 star often. I am not sure I...
Read moreWell freaking done for knowing the difference between medium and medium well. I've lived in the state for the last 20 years were no one knows how to make a burger medium (Az). The simple things in life that you miss. So first of all this burger is legit AF. Had the gorgonzola bacon burger Served on a toasted brioche bun. Not sure if the burgers come with lettuce, tomato, and pickles but I got it on the side. Got this to go after a 12-hour long road trip and it was worth the stop. Friend tried the green chile cheeseburger but he messed up his taste buds by trying mine first. Both were excellent but we both prefer the gorgonzola bacon cheeseburger. Thats a burger we both regularly eat. Next time I'm in New Mexico for a road trip I will definitely be back. We ate these burgers in the car and I didn't mind one bit. The Burger, burger is perfectly seasoned. New Mexico beef is pretty impressive. my friend asked if I put any special seasonings on it and I said nope just ordered it regular. We are used to a similar burger with Cajun seasoning but didn't need it here tasted pretty damn good. not sure if we got the maple sauce for our sweet potato fries but all in all it was delicious. Staff was friendly, to go order was easy to place. Will recommend. Didn't have time to take Instagram worthy food pictures because the burger looks so damn good when I open the box I just...
