I’ve been a patient at Modern Dentistry for the last two years, and I can confidently say that they provide the best dental care I’ve ever received. From routine check-ups and cleanings to emergency care, every single visit has been an outstanding experience.

The entire team is welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. Dr. Hong, my dentist, is always encouraging and takes the time to explain everything in detail. His care and attention make me feel truly supported, and I always leave feeling confident about my treatment plan. Armando, my hygienist, has been instrumental in improving my gum health. His education and recommendations have made a huge difference in my oral care routine, and he’s always thorough in explaining ways I can take better care of my teeth. Brie, at the front desk, is another standout. She’s always friendly, helpful, and so accommodating when it comes to scheduling or handling any administrative details.

The clinic itself is incredibly welcoming and comfortable. I love how they offer additional preventive services, like heat therapy and oral fitness checks, that have helped me improve my overall oral health. As someone who works in healthcare, I really appreciate how knowledgeable the entire team is and how willing they are to answer my questions—I've learned so much about my oral health through their guidance.

They got me the care I needed right away, and the next business day, I was able to see them and get the treatment that resolved my pain. Beware of Harm!

I went in for an endodontic consultation and had a terrible experience that I feel needs to be shared. First, during the panoramic x-ray, the technician told me to remove my necklace, but when I asked if I should take out my drop earrings, she said no. Later, I discovered that the x-ray was likely ineffective and may need to be redone. This means unnecessary additional exposure to radiation, which is not only harmful to my health but also an ethical violation according to the ADA Code of Ethics.

Next, the technician apologized for only having one size of the individual x-ray apparatus. Despite telling her the day before that I had no problem with a smaller size, she proceeded to force this oversized device into my mouth. I felt as though it was tearing the skin that connects my tongue to the roof of my mouth. She wanted me to bite down, but it was so painful that I couldn't. After several attempts, I asked her to remove it. She was visibly frustrated, but I sensed more—there was anger. She tried a different x-ray tool, but couldn’t get the right angle. The x-ray she took ended up looking almost identical to the ones I had the day before, exposing me to even more radiation.

Then, she called in another woman, and the abuse escalated. This time, the apparatus was jammed into my mouth so forcefully that it scraped the bottom of my mouth and was shoved against the back of my throat, blocking my airway! My head was pushed into the back of the chair, and I felt terrified as I sensed her anger. I told her to stop, that I was done, and I could feel the aggression in her actions. She spat, “I TRIED MY BEST!” in response.

The second woman in the room didn’t intervene or stop the situation. That’s a serious ethical violation right there. When I told the receptionists I was leaving and explained that I had been hurt, they did nothing. There were two other staff members at the counter, and they didn’t try to help me either. This level of unprofessionalism is both unethical and unacceptable.

I’ve reported this to both my insurance company and the ADA, as I was injured and mistreated during this appointment.

Don't let these dentists push unnecessary and harmful x-rays on you. The radiation is cumulative, and it’s unethical to ignore existing x-rays that have already been taken....

This is going to be a bit of a novel, but I have so much to say about my visit today! I hadn't seen a dentist in quite some time so I was really nervous about going and having to address some serious tooth decay, but I am so glad I went!! From start to finish, everyone was professional, understanding, and extremely educated! Rodni took my X rays and was by my side as Dr. Hong examined my mouth and explained every x ray and photo taken. After assessing the damage, they created a plan for the services needed and came back with multiple payment options for me. I was able to set up a payment plan directly with the office and a plan to get my oral health back on track. Dr. Hong was able to answer every question I had as I brought them up and completely erased any dental anxiety that I used to have. While working on my teeth, they made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. While waiting in between for each next step, Rodni kept checking in with me and making sure I was up-to-date on the process and remained comfortable. Armando was my Hygienist and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! I couldn't believe the luck that I ran into by choosing this dental office. He explained how to take care of my teeth after the cleaning and explained how to personally take care of my teeth according to the structure of my mouth. Armando even helped me through the range of emotions I was feeling and explained how to improve my oral health so that my next visit is even better. I have never had a better experience with any healthcare provider than the experience I had today. This morning I woke up and just wanted to get it over with, but after I left I feel more empowered to handle my dental health and knowing that I now have a dentist's office where I can feel safe and comfortable that they are truly working in my best interest. I saw the reviews before I scheduled the appointment and yet they still surpassed any expectation that I could've had.
