Read moreThis shopping complex contains both Walmart and Smiths grocery stores. But our reason to visit the center is to have lunch at the Firehouse Subs. The tables overlook the Academy open space and Bernalillo in the distance, along with dreamy gazes northward toward Sante Fe. And the subs are always good to order over rhe last few years. The surrounding neighborhoods have many nice homes and planned developments who prioritze established tree canopies, architectural interest and desertscape with lawn accents.
