Although this location does not have a swimming pool, hydromassage chairs, tanning beds, or many of the other facilities and amenities that some of the other facilities have, the biggest thing that it lacks is transparency. Originally slated to open its doors in fall of 2022, this gym changed the season of its opening 3 times before finally opening in summer of 2023. During the presale, I selected the "More" membership hoping to enjoy a greater amount of amenities that I've since found out that this gym does not even have. However, that is nowhere explained on the website.
The gym itself is small, but the equipment is new and generally well structured. Steam room isn't open yet, but there is a sauna. There's a juice/ supplement bar,an area for classes (so far I've come too early in the day to have a chance to partake), and pickle bar courts. Locker rooms are clean. I haven''t used the showers lately, but I did check them out, and there were no unusual sights or smells.
My only other minor frustration is that I literally went out the door for 2 minutes to grab my phone and told the person at the front that I'd be right back, and I had to sign in again. Not a big deal, just a little strange being the first month of opening. Everyone's membership should be in good standing and wouldn't change within minutes.
All in all, it's not the best or largest gym that I've ever been to, but it's close to home for now so it's convenient and has what I need without all the extras. If you're looking for a better bang for your buck though, you're probably better off with Planet Fitness, which is cheaper, or finding a Chuze location that has all the amenities in your membership. Like I said, transparency is my biggest issue with this company. They could definitely list what each gym has on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI signed up for a membership towards the end of last year (2023) around winter break for a Free week-long trial, and at first, I loved it so much. Very great exercise machines, physical set-up, staff, and location. So, after my trial, I opted to keep the regular membership despite having a Black membership with Planet Fitness. But things made a turn after the winter break, and people returned to work and school, and it got so crowded that I couldn't get into my exercise routine around late afternoon to early evening. Too many people are haggling with most of the machines. There were times when I was there; I compelled myself to leave and go to Planet Fitness. So, for several months, it has been like this: I am paying $29.08 for the membership without being able to use the facility because itās just too crowded, and I only have the same schedule during the day that works for me. A few months passed, and I realized I was wasting money, so I canceled my membership since I could not fully avail myself of the perks and amenities I was paying for. To my disappointment, I was asked to pay the early termination of my membership contract, amounting to $50. WHY? is asked⦠Itās in the contract. Isnāt it also not fair that they could not provide me with the amenities well because they have too many members that use that time of day, and their equipment is limited to accommodate everyone who wants to use it. I was penalized when I was the one who got āNOT servedā because of their limitation. NOT FAIR RIGHT? HOW IS THAT FAIR? I tried reaching out and emailing Chuze fitness but got no response since I sent that email out on May same day when I requested my membership...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWay... too packed to get any work out done. Now they started closing an hour earlier because of "Not enough clock ins." That is the whole entire point of why I like going late. It's simply for crowd control. This makes Planet Fitness look like a gigantic party! It's inexcusable! Why am I paying you this money on a monthly basis to NOT be able to utilize the services being advertised? The elimination of that last hour may have me canceling depending on your response. Every time I try paying with my credit card, it NEVER gets processed. I am always a month behind because they prefer having your bank account so they can secure their money. I've read the reviews about overdrafting accounts and continued bank drafting after cancelations. This exactly why NOBODY gets my bank account info. The prevent shady things this. I understand that you the merchant has to pay fees to the credit card companies to accept them as a form of payment. The part I don't understand is that why don't you simply charge a simple 2%-4% convenience fee to offset the costs. It's really not that difficult and I willing to pay that fee. Nobody is enforcing the pictures and videos being taken in the bathrooms. At this point, I rather you just remove all the mirrors from...
