Quickshine Express Car Wash — Attraction in Albuquerque

This location needs some help and better management. I got the $14 manager's special wash. My first impression, the credit card reader at the pay station did not work, a good thing I had cash. Reading reviews on Google, the card reader has not been working for a while. No receipts. Also no tire shine. These were signs posted on the pay machine. They were handwritten signs on lined notebook paper. Not a good look at all. Car wash with no tire shine? That's your business to pamper cars, you should never be out of anything.

Visited on a 60º day in February and they were open. I tried a few times before in January and they were closed. Probably because the temperature was in the 40's, which is understandable. Vacuums were available. Washed very well.

If you have been to other Quick Shine locations you know they are always exceptional. Management needs to get it together at this location. It's the little things that make a huge difference. Especially when you compare this location to the others.

I also want to add, if you want to use the Quick Shine website to renew your unlimited wash club membership, it does not work. The option is on the website to manage your membership but it has not worked for the last 3 years I have had my wash membership. You have to renew in person at the pay machine. Wish someone...

I have a monthly membership at this car wash. I've always been pleased with quality of the automatic wash I receive and the vacuum bays are always clean and functional.

I'm writing this review because I think two employees at this wash deserve kudos for going the extra mile. I went through the wash on August 25, 2022 a few minutes after 2pm. Though I don't have their names, the two gentleman in the auto-wash bay spent several minutes getting the caked mud out of my wheel wells and I truly appreciate their efforts!

Unfortunately, I live on a dirt road, and always feel a bit guilty running my messy Honda through the well maintained Quick Shine car wash, however, the employees at Quick Shine have always been friendly and professional.

I've been through several of the Albuquerque car washes prior to purchasing the membership here. Even with the higher level washes, I've never had any of the car wash employees at other automatic car washes make the kind of effort the two gentleman at Quick Shine did today. One of the two has done the same for my car on another occasion, as well, so it's obvious this was not just a 'one-off. '

I hope the manager and/or owner appreciates those two employees for the gems they are! (wink)

Edited after follow up: They did full due diligence and proved to me that the scratch was there before. So with that in mind, I'll be fair to them. It's a good, quick wash that leaves the car nice and shiny and it stays shiny for a while. Usually until I come back. I do go for the expensive one, usually. They do take the time to de-grime my wheel wells, which is very considerate. Also, they have great vacuums and those little air blower things. I will, in fact, be coming back next time I need a wash. And I'll also try to check myself before wrecking myself next time.

Original version: Up until recently I liked them pretty well. Mostly because they have great vacuums. The wash itself seemed comparable to any automatic wash. But yesterday it put a huge scratch all down the passenger side of our vehicle. Most of it is just the clear coat, and will buff out. But there are parts on the front passenger door all the way down to the metal. A bit upsetting on a car with less than 10,000 miles on it. I will buff it out and touch it up, but I don't think I'll be coming back...
