This is a great park! They have several ball fields, batting cage, soccer fields and great playground areas. They also have a simple but enjoyable mini golf course with 9 holes. (I am from out of town and would have brought my putter had I known). There are also several pavilions.
Our younger kids love the large playground set with the different slides. There is a playground set towards the back of the park and it has a pavilion with a train for kids to climb on.
There's also a walking/ nature trail. One part of it is very short and simple. The other part has great potential, but isn't clearly marked or fully ready yet. It would be great if it could be fleshed out to be a longer "hike" type of trail. Read moreSo my thing is this. If you're gonna host a baseball tournament then make sure your fields are properly playable. Having that HUGE gap in field 2 cost I'm sure not only u,s but every other team ever playing on that field the game by having the ball just zip right under the fence. Gravel the distance so the ball can't get under. Make sure your fields are fair! Not a good experience here. If I was in charge of hot stove I would argue to not have championship tournaments here until said issues...
Read moreIt's a great park. My family has our family reunion there each year. It's nice because we rent the front pavilion which is right next to the playground, basketball courts, and restrooms. There's also an open field where we set up yard games and throw frisbees and such. There are outlets under the pavilion as well which is great. There used to be a giant weeping willow tree at the entrance of the park but they cut it down years ago. I used to love that tree. All in all, I love Butler...
