My two friends and myself went here to eat at this restaurant and have never been so disrespected at a place of business like we were here. We chose to sit at the bar to eat our dinner rather than having to wait for an available table as we were there because we are school bus drivers and we had brought our high school football team to play Marlington on this Friday night. We sat down at the bar at the same time another couple did. We were given menus then placed our orders deciding to get a couple appetizers while we were waiting for our main course to be served. The barmaid (the blonde) asked us if we would prefer to have our food all brought at the same time or wait to have our dinner orders put in when they served us our appetizers and we chose to wait until our appetizers were served to put our dinner orders in as there was limited space at the bar for all food to be brought out at once. We received our appetizers and in the meantime the couple that sat down the same time as us, got their appetizers as well. We were all talking as the lady of the couple was telling us about her family member was a school bus driver as well. After enjoying our appetizers, we proceeded to wait for our dinners and an hour had already passed. Mind you, the couple next to us had already finished their appetizers, received their dinners, checked out and also made a comment to us that they could not believe that we had still not received our food yet. We then asked the barmaid( the same blonde) if she had any idea on when our food was coming out as we had already sat there for an hour waiting. She then told us she had just put our order in because she figured we wanted time to enjoy our appetizers. An hour to enjoy our appetizers? She clearly forgot to put our dinner orders in when she gave us our appetizers. We then asked if we could speak to the manager about the situation and she went to the kitchen to get him. A young male came out from the kitchen and as we went to explain what was going on, he was not willing to listen to what our issue was, he basically was calling us liars talking very disrespectful to us and cutting us off when we were trying talk to him. He then said he was going to go back to get the other manager and then some young female came out and she was not giving us the the time of day to explain our situation to her either. Not even an apology for this happening just disrespect. We just wanted an explanation on what was taking so long to get our order. We then asked for boxes for our food our food which we didn’t even get to eat because it was cold after all this was going on and we had pretty much lost our appetites and we just wanted to pay for our food and get out of there. On our way out, we did stop by the podium and asked the two ladies that were taking names if they could get us the number for the Regional manager and one of the girls said she would go get it for us for us to wait there for a minute and she would be back. Well, no sooner than she went to check, the second manager that disrespected us earlier came up behind us and told us that we needed to leave or she was calling the police. I have never seen a business treat their customers like this as we were just wondering why our meal was taking so long to get to us when there were customers coming and going and we still hadn’t received our meal. Read moreIt was my birthday and I wanted a good steak I gave very detailed instructions on how I wanted it, there in was the problem. 1st off I'm a 40 year+ veteran of the food service industry, I'm very picky and know what I like. I wanted my porterhouse cooked what I called Pittsburg the steak is placed on the hottest part of the grill on the open flame its burnt on the outside and rare in the middle I was willing to pay any amount of money to get this. I ordered over the phone The order taker said there name was Zoltan, a lie when I arrived heading to the bar I noted no steaks visible on there charbroiler so the first thing I did was tell the bartender to please make sure because I had a sneaky feeling some other method of cooking was being used I was assured the kitchen knew exactly what I wanted and I'd be very happy. I got my steak while I was on the phone and left. Once I got where I was going 5 mins away I opened it, as I did my smile was turned upside down as my instruction were completely disregarded this great cut of meat one of their most expensive was not cooked on a charbrioler but Pan seared not what I in great length had instructed 2 times this is what I Specifically said not to do I called the manager to complain not only did I wait on hold for 20 mins but had to hang up call back which by this time was very upset I was placed on hold again this time it took 8 mins when I began to detail what was done I was rudely told I better calm down and this was as I was told NOT GOING TO GO THE WAY I WANTED. I replied I was the customer and this did anger my more he proceeded to tell me I was wrong didn't know what I was talking about this is exactly how it is made in a pan trying to make the point it was not as instructed again I was told THIS IS NOT GOING TO GO THE WAY I WANTEFD I DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT, me who began my career and extensive knowledge, culinary degree not only do I know what it takes to be successful but a multi award winning restaurateur insulted and but basically I'm an IDIOT! It was my birthday I was stuck with little option than this as I just had my second surgery at the hospital there on my way to a rehab facility which I when giving the detailed instructions also mentioned once I arrived there would not be able to leave was hung up on. How is this appropriate. This is not to basically tell someone take what we give you, pay for it and basically shut up like it or not. This is not the way things are supposed to go.WOW 50 Dollars for something far from what I consider eatable but trash to go exactly there in the garbage. I a usmc vet disabled and insulted am appalled. People rich and poor alike work hard for every dollar they earn should get what they want when spending that hard earned money. It's simply ashame and this is an example of what should never happened this person not only makes me sick but is a disgrace to the industry. He's exactly what is wrong and why thevindustry is so looked down on. The only reason for being there and not being out of business is basically NO OTHER CHOICE. Read moreNormally my husband and I love this restaurant. It has always been our go to place. Tonight, however, was enough to make me leave a negative review. Let me preface this by saying that there was some sort of winter formal or something going on so the restaurant was packed. However, this in no way should have been a big deal because this is a restaurant that is used to large crowds. First off, we waited about 50 minutes for a table. We have two children so we went outside for our wait but came in about 10 minutes before we were seated. There were no plates at the table where were were seated for the rolls and none stacked nearby so we had to use the cloth napkins as plates. After we were seated it took another 10 minutes for our server to approach the table. We ordered drinks for our table, one appetizer, and taking note of the crowd, we also ordered the meals for our children. It's lucky that we did because their meals and the lone appetizer were the only meals that ever made it out to the table. My husband and I both ordered a salad, a steak, and a baked potato. Roughly 25-30 minutes after we were seated and had placed the orders for our own meals, a table was seated directly behind us. I mention this because after sitting at our table for more than an hour we still had not received our salads but the table behind us had their salads and their meals. Our server didn't bring a refill for my husband, did offer more rolls but never brought them to the table, and seemed confused when we asked to have everything boxed instead of brought to the table -including the salads that we never received. She left our table saying of course that could be done. More than five minutes later a different server came out with our plates so we again asked for boxes and boxed salads. He stated he would get boxes and check on our salads. Fast forward a few more minutes and we finally had our meals and boxes for them. We should have checked our meals before leaving but our children were done and we were fed up. I took our kids out to the car while my husband paid the bill. The manager did come over and after hearing about our experience tonight she did offer to comp part of our meal. That was nice but didn't end up being worth it in the end. Upon getting home we set out our meals and I cut into my steak.. only to find that it was not done as requested! Worst experience ever at this restaurant and it was more than enough to make us question going back again...
