Great stop to get off the Big Lake. Lots of space in the Marina, seems out of the way for most people transiting the area, but we had strong winds and wanted to get off the Lake. Plenty of room for our 50 foot sailboat Dragon's Lair as we snuck in around 3am. The entry way did seem sort of narrow in the dark but we pulled it off just fine. We arrived during trout festival and found the town of Alpena to be fun and worthy...

Far from warm and friendly. Don’t leave your truck and trailer in lot overnight. Tickets will be given. I have a large scratch in my hull from a big nail sticking out of the dock. Marina bathroom are the public toilets. Was there a while back, only 1 of 3 showers were working. Price to dock may vary depending who rings you up. Harrisville and Rogers City are...

The public restroom is a portapotty. I guess lucky to have that. A dock hand couldn't respond via vhf but did to a googled phone call. Helpful. I was broken into 2x last year. Lost radios and speakers. PD never...
