The state of the art facility is beautiful and full of light. It is a wonderful place to take high-quality painting lessons, pottery classes, see a gallery show from various internationally renowned and local artists, attend an arts lecture or digital media class. There is also a black box theater where you can see community theater and attend lectures on various subjects. What a gem! The Alpharetta Arts Center is a standout adaptive reuse project - transforming the old Fulton County Library branch into a vibrant community hub without losing its familiar charm. My kids (now adults) spent countless hours here studying and checking out books; walking back in after the renovation felt like a full-circle moment. The interior redesign is outstanding: open, light-filled galleries, flexible studios, and event spaces that host everything from the arts fair we just visited to classes and performances. This is a cool spot that you should check out when in Alpharetta. It’s free! The gallery has many quality pieces on display. Expect it to take an hour or two depending how in depth you’d like to take your experience. If you live in the area, the Center is also home to a variety of studios and offers classes for both adults and children.
