Roaring Social knows how to make an entrance and I’m not just talking about the secret door. Our team of 20 visited for a midweek team building night out, and the moment we arrived, we were swept into the spirit of the Prohibition era. From the check-in process to the secret entrance (you’ll want to know where to look and what to say), this venue delivers on ambiance and theme. Descending the stairs felt like stepping into another time. Rich wood tones, sultry lighting and a live band that brought the room to life. For a Tuesday night? The energy was electric and the space was packed! We enjoyed boutique bowling in a lively, luxe atmosphere and our server, Rider, kept our large party taken care of with warmth, attentiveness and charm. Where the venue lost a star? The menu. While we literally ordered one of everything to share across our group, the food was more functional than flavorful. Limited options and a bit underwhelming in execution. Still, if you’re looking for a unique, immersive experience with strong cocktails and stronger vibes, Roaring Social will deliver! It’s a memorable night out and a nostalgic journey worth taking.

Went to support a friend’s band and didn’t know what to expect since I don’t typically go out in Alpharetta. A speakeasy? How good could it be out in the ‘burbs of Atlanta? Wow ok y’all. This place seriously delivered! First you have to give a password phrase into an old phone to gain entrance. Once you do this massive heavy door opens. Inside is this beautifully decorated bar and lounge, and on the far side is the bowling alley. Yes they have a bowling alley! To be honest the food was a bit of a let down but I wasn’t there for the food. The drinks were on point (bartenders even knew an obscure drink I asked for, off-menu). Audio for the band is powerful, clean, and fills the space. Dance floor is large enough, and the tables were just the right size. Can’t wait to go back!

Quite the exciting first time experience picking up our tailoring 😉 Was a bit tricky finding it but it’s right next to the hotel and has a ROSO sign. There’s street parking which fills up fast and there are multiple paid parking areas around. Loved the ambience and the character this speakeasy has. Had the this side of paradise cocktail which was nice you could taste the fruity flavors. The food was just okay and left more to be desired. Had the whiskey wings which were more like chicken strips with a side of a honey and whiskey sauce. My friend had the crab stuffed mushroom and the shrimp tempura which I tasted and both were okay as well (I could tasted the ginger in the tempura)

Fantastic.. finally a great , fun place to eat drink and dance to live music in Alpharetta GA..... Way over due!

KUDOS to Chef Chris and Kayla our waitress who made our night great!

It is a 20's speakeasy underground restaurant / bar. It is themed to make your experience the best.

Be sure before you go you look at the web site and know the secret "password phrase" .. that is some of the fun before you enter.

We arrived at about 6:45 PM, and were met at the "Clothier Doors" by a gentleman. After telling him the secret "password phrase" . He opened the doors only to be met by another hostess of the "Clothier Store" .. she to was told the secret "password phrase" and directed us down the stairs through another doorway. We were told to pick up the phone on the wall and once again the secret "password phrase" was used. BINGO we were told how to enter through a steel door!

Once inside it was amazing. A long huge bar, a stage for live music, a big piano, plenty room to walk around . Against each wall was a group of sofas, love seats with coffee type large tables for guests of what appeared to be 6 or more!

Another room had 8 mini bowling lanes with sofas, tables and large screen TV's . A private room next to it had bumper billiards , sofa seating and also a large TV.

We found a small table. Kayla was our waitress. She was fantastic and gave us great customer service the entire night. The food is appetizer type food . We had the skewer steak and chicken, herb homemade truffle fries, prosciutto flatbread with herbs. Along with some wine and other adult beverages.

We saw that some were dressed in a roaring 20's theme and had a party going on at one of the bowling lanes. We saw a Chef bring out some big dishes with sliders, salads, and all sorts of interesting food. We stopped the chef and he introduced himself as Chef Chris. He talked to us about the entire social club story, food, beverages, etc including the new Golf Social Club and Pickleball Social Club. Lets just say.. he definitely went out of his busy way to make our stay enjoyable in many ways.. (wink wink)..! We also tried the short rib sliders and they were amazing!

We danced the night away with a 70's, 80's 90's live band.. the wife was happy !

Parking is by valet or just park a couple blocks away in the city multi level lot which is free and plenty of space . The entire area was well protected with police very visible on all corners.. especially for the retail store owners in this crazy climate.. KUDOS to APD!

If you want a high class fun place that you can actually dress up for.. this is it! Casual dress is okay too! If you are more the wings and beer type this is NOT for you.

YES we will be back with all our fun friends and neighbors as 5 nights a week the entertainment changes from Jazz, to Motown, a piano sing along, etc... ! Now just get the great "Band X " to perform and wow ! We will be hooked.

This is a fantastic fun destination and one would never know they were in GEORGIA.. ! ...

I’m frustrated that I even have to write this review but they pushed me to the brink. If you have a group party there CHECK YOUR BILLS AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. This could have been a great night as me and all my guests had a Fabulous time and the band was incredible BUT once receiving the check and the the later events made this experience horrible and none of my guest will ever go back. So this is what happened, I made a reservation for a table 2 weeks before arrival. I didn’t know how many guests would show up as all my friends have very busy lives so I booked one table for $150. That only includes 1 small section and 10 covers. I had to sign a contract that each guest would have a minimum of $50. So our total group bill had to be $610. I told them ahead of time that everyone would pay separately/couples. Also, I said if more than people arrive I’ll pay their cover. (Now please know, they don’t charge covers before 7pm). Now 3 people arrived before 7pm. In total I had 17 friends. (10 prepaid for and 3 arrived before covers) So that would leave 4 covers for me to pay for at $10 each totaling $40. At the end of this fun night I received a bill with an extra $190 in cover charges. I tried to dispute it with the waitress at the time but it was useless as it was so noisy and after a few drinks I really didn’t want to be “that person” that evening. I knew it was a mistake and assumed I would be refunded when I reached out the next day. Now this ended up NOT being the case. After many emails a manager called me to say that I had 24 people there. I said she was wrong as it was only 17 and 3 arrived before covers and 10 were prepaid. Then she backtracked and said well then I think you didn’t meet your minimum. Which I knew that could be impossible as my group was throwing down. After a frustrating phone convo I said said I’d dispute it with my credit card. BUT now I’ve been sent down a rabbit hole and I’m pissed. I literally had to reach out to all my friends and ask them EXACTLY what they spent. My group spent $1980.45 and our minimum was $610.23. So I sent another email with the full breakdown of who spent what and a request for the a full refund out of principle. But honestly I would accept just the covers and the tax and tip on that over charge to be credited back but days later & without an apology from a manager, they did credit me back just the $190 but not the the tax and tip on that amount. At this point it’s about principle. And the fact that I’ve spent so much unnecessary time on this. I think they do this on purpose with the knowledge most people won’t dive deeper or fight it. And honestly, this isn’t NYC, $16 drinks are bonkers. So, I suggest taking a big...

Bad experience with event planning staff, food cold, drinks watered down and yes wait staff over charged the bill. Jenny (event planner) was not good, I hate to say horrible, but yeah. DO NOT PLAN AN EVENT HERE! paid $125 for VIP seating for a party of 6. I was told, by Jenny, in person that the space was going to be expanded to twice the size that it was during my party...upon arrival, it was smaller that when she originally showed me, party of six couldn't move in or out without climbing over each other. Additionally, she was extremely rude and off putting. I emailed questions in which she didn't respond or provided answers only after numerous attempts to contact her, in which she was flippant in her email responses. I saved them to share with management, but was not contacted by them after I requested to rectify my bill. I had a contract that stated one total, but was overcharged and requested a refund... no response. Upon entry, they tried to charge me $60 for cover charge, in which Jenny said was included in my VIP fee, it was embarrassing arguing about this in front of my guest...I did not owe it BTW. Food-purchased 2 platters which were cold. sliders cold and over cooked, no utensil, no spoons for sauces..they were $75 and $85 dollars. Drinks - paid for top shelf mixed drinks, received watered down, simple syrup.

BOTTOMLINE: The band was great - JUSTIN played that night, although it was too loud. no conversation could be heard unless you were right in the persons face...if you're afraid of COVID-19, not the place for you, VIP not worth it, no mixed drinks - expensive and weak, don't go hungry- food overpriced, server was clearly inexperienced and they will automatically charge you up to 23% or more for a tip on parties of 6 which is excessive for the service they provide... we barely saw her and she was suppose to be "dedicated" to us per VIP agreement...NOPE. I don't mind paying for great service, this was not it. Why did I continue after the poor treatment for Jenny...my VIP fee was non-refundable. After she got my money...there was no incentive to provide assistance in planning the event, and it showed. I enjoyed the band and would go back to the club, but I will never plan an event. Just enjoy the band and purchase beer or wine, no mixed drinks, don't waste your money. Or enjoy the band at another venue. STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT...

UPDATE: Upon viewing this review, I was contacted by Jenny and offered an apology for my experience. I was also refunded my $125 VIP fee in which I really appreciated. I am planning to go back with some friends as I did have fun dancing, doubt if I would ever have a planned personal event...
