But every once in a while, in a small town in the middle of America, there’s some officious sourpuss woman librarian. Middle aged or older, she’s never had any power in her life but this tiny power, and she wields it like Genghis Khan. This branch of this library has such a woman. She’s the kind of person who makes you thank your higher power for both self check-out and part-time library assistants.

Fax machine does not work correctly. Pulls multiple pages and charges for every time it messes up. Was charged $40+ for a 10 page Fax! When speaking to the manager about the machine messing up only thing she would say was that she hasn't had any reports on it. Nothing was done to help resolve the issue except given a number to call. Won't device the money I was overcharged for 3 to 4 weeks! Will not be using Hayner Library's to Fax...

What a jewel in our community! Even through the pandemic, Hayner Library staff find ways to engage our children with crafts and telephone story time. As an adult, I’ve enjoyed getting book recommendations and learning new things from the library newsletter. We love to visit both the downtown and mall locations.
