Savvi Formalwear — Local services in Alton

I used Savvi in Alton for my wedding tuxedos back in November 2018. The staff from the very beginning were FANTASTIC at helping us and making it as easy of a process as possible. When we scheduled an appointment to pick out our tuxedos, we thought it would be a super long and drawn out ordeal. However, when we went in, the assistant manager (I can't remember his name) made it super simple and explained everything thoroughly. My guys said the staff were super friendly whenever they came in to get measured, so this isn’t only a review for me, it’s from all of my guys as well. We were offered a “free grooms try on” whenever we signed up so we were able to try on my tuxedo months before the wedding for absolutely free. Men’s Wearhouse wouldn’t do that for us, which is part of the reason we decided to use Savvi. Two days before the wedding myself and my guys went in to try on all of our stuff and take it home and everything fit great apart from one of my guys coats. Thought it would be a big deal to get a new one. It wasn’t! They simply ordered a new jacket and had it there the next day, and it was no big deal! Returning the tuxedos the day after the wedding was a breeze, too. I simply had one of my groomsmen bring all of them back, and they took care of the rest. I couldn’t have been happier with the way everything went. From start, to finish, everything was so smooth. The best part was, I looked GREAT in my stuff and so did my guys. I’d give the staff at Savvi in Alton 10 out of 10 stars if I could, and if you’re in limbo about where to go for tuxes in the Alton, IL area, do not hesitate to go to Savvi Formalwear for your stuff. I am really surprised by the number of good reviews for this store. We did not have a great experience here. There was one gal that worked here that was very rude and thought she was hot stuff. I paid extra for slim fit pants and they clearly were not slim fit. I expressed this when he tried them on, but she was very curt and said oh they are fine. She definitely had an attitude problem. I knew another woman who’s son was trying on his tux at the same time and she agreed with me about this woman’s attitude. There was a younger girl working that seemed very nice and helpful along with a guy who was fine. My son also had a button that fell off of his jacket. Terrible service upon trying to return tux. Got told to be there at 11am to return, paperwork they provided also stated 11am. Drove an hour to return got there at 11:00am. Waited over 30 minutes for someone to show up and open the shop up. Had to drive home and back twice just to return the tux.
