GameQuest is a fantastic stop if you’re into retro gaming, collectibles, or just love browsing through nostalgic treasures. We didn’t plan to spend long here, but ended up enjoying our time exploring the store’s packed inventory. They have nearly every old-school game system imaginable—from NES and Sega to PlayStation and beyond—plus a wall of classic games to go with them. Beyond the video games, the shop also carries a wide range of collectibles: vintage toys, trading cards, movie posters, vinyl records, and even dollar-bin comics (my son picked up a couple and was thrilled). It’s the kind of place where you never know what cool thing you’ll stumble across, and the prices felt reasonable—especially for more casual collectors. Even if you’re just browsing, it’s worth a stop. The staff was friendly and let us look around comfortably without pressure. If you’re a gamer, collector, or pop culture fan, this is a must-visit spot in Amarillo.

Whatever you do, if you're out of town coming in to look for video games or collectibles, do not come to game Quest The owner does not like to talk to people Personally, and they give runarounds on a lot of stuff i traded some things in and they still owe me money. Haven't heard back from them in 4 weeks now. If you're looking for a better store, you go to lubbock might be a little bit longer of a drive, but better customer service and you won't get ripped off. Update: might want to look for new workers this is a log of every time I called and got no answer or just told i would get a call back Hope everything goes good I will never recommend this shop or ever go back

Selling an ungraded shadowless blastoise (PokĂ©mon card) for $800!! Lol. They sure don’t know how to price range their PokĂ©mon card collection. Based on condition, I would grade it 5/10 🙌. P.S. don’t buy their PokĂ©mon cards, especially from sellers with an IQ less than 85 👈👀 Check this out
your $800 card is only worth $100 đŸ€Ł Kid, you and your “breakfast club” đŸ€Ł need to get educated on price ranging.

My sister and I travel the country for our gaming group and everywhere we go we try to find and support local game shops. Upon first impressions this store is very messy/disheveled. There are a lot of broken and/or dirty items. Now mind you, some collectors wouldn’t care about that. It’s not a great first impression when you walk in though.

There are no signs indicating where you can or can not go. And when my sister stepped behind the “counter” (a shelf piled high with haphazardly stacked consoles and games with no indication that you can’t walk on the other side to look at the games on the wall) the employee very rudely said “Ask before you go behind the courter.” To be fair, that’s not an unreasonable request! And had he been polite this would be a much higher star review.

When I genuinely apologized and said that we didn’t know/were from out of town (and as my sister removed herself from looking at the games on the wall) he just repeated himself even more rudely.

We give the place a two star because there probably are some good finds amongst the heaps. Though we were planning to buy quite a few things from Game Quest we decided to go elsewhere and found better prices and much friendlier service at a different shop about 10 minutes away.

Though we come through Amarillo a few times a year sadly we will not be coming back to this shop nor can we recommend it to our followers. I hope you all have a...

Awfully disappointed, I came in to get a ps4 slim and was hooked up pretty good i assumed. They gave me 3 extra games and were very nice and respectful, i made sure to ask if they tested the system before selling it and they said they did test it. I got home realized they didn’t give me a remote control charger with my controllers, I didn’t have too much of a problem with that. Turned the ps4 on, about 2-3minutes later the fan was blaring loudly and my system told me to turn off the ps4 due to overheating. I turned it off and realized that the heatsink was absolutely covered in dust, we cleaned it and then found another problem
disc drive doesn’t work, the disc won’t even go in (there is no disc inside). Won’t be coming back again sadly, i really did enjoy the costumer service. Time to take me ps4 to the shop, I understand that it’s a used ps4 so i won’t get the best quality but it’s still extremely upsetting that it was in such bad condition. At least it...
