I'm very angry at this Gamestop I came in about a month ago looking for a game that just came out, they told me that it wasn't in and they weren't going to get it for 2 weeks then they started to bully me into pre-ordering it. I literally had a 15 minute debate with the two employees that were there about why I didn't want to. it was so bad that I eventually had to just leave mid sentence because they were still bothering me about it and I didn't have the time. now today I went inn just to look at their game selection, I could hear the employee bugging people about pre-orders once again and i mean they had to say no like 5 times just to get the guy to shut up. I picked up my game and headed towards the register, the woman before me obviously didn't know anything about games. she asked "Xbox one or PS4?" he replied "Xbox one." which is fine with me BUT he started to tell them about the Xbox one, he started telling them about features that weren't even announced for the system. I couldn't take it anymore and blurted out "they were trying to make it so you had to pay a fee for used games." he looked at me with a glare and said "that's not true."(which it is true it used to be all over the internet. go look it up on IGN.) the girl picked up her things and left. now it was my turn it was clear that I was mad but the persistent idiot continued to ask me if I wanted to pre-order I answered "no, just sell me the d#%$ game." I will admit that I wasn't polite to him and wasn't a good costumer. but still he asked me "do you want a rewards card?" even after my profanity and clear disgruntlement he still was trying to sell me stuff. I just said no and we completed the transaction. I left for a bit and went back in to apologize. the manager was there though and I quickly said sorry to the employee and started to tell them about my last visit and how I don't appreciate people lieing to their costumers. the manager even had a debate with me about the stupid Xbox even when I gave them news sites for games they continued to say that it wasn't reliable. I just left after that. I can tell you I will never go to another gamestop again because of this store if you want used games I would suggest graywhale or marios and new i'd suggest best buy or target or walmart. these people will do anything they can to separate you from the money in your wallet so please don't...
Read moreFirst of all, I walked into this store for the first time and the entire store smelled like someone majorly farted or pooped in the corner of the store. I went in trying to buy 2 wii controllers. I looked everywhere around their oddly set up store. Finally I found two controllers locked up on the shelf. I walked up to the desk and asked the kid working if he could get it for me. He said yes and then answers the phone right away.... He stayed on the phone the rest of the time I stayed there. There were so many people in the store, I was afraid someone else was going to get the controllers before I could. So I sent me friend to ask the other worker to unlock the controllers while I waited by them. The other worked walked by me and i asked her to unlock the controllers. She said she would and then... once again, never returned. My friend luckily was still waiting in line to talk to this same worker. My friend finally talks to her and walks over to unlock the controllers (25 mins in store by now)... She unlocks them and then tells me,,, "sorry this other girl is going to get the controllers because she waited in line".... Are you f**king kidding me?? Thank goodness the "other girl" was my friend, but this worker had no idea and was just going to gladly give them to someone else, even though I had been waiting for assistance for almost 30 mins and had asked several times for help in this fart smelling store. I will NEVER return to this location. The kids running the store were aweful and extremely rude. There needs to be some adults in the store and a different set up. It didn't make any sense...
Read moreI went in to pre-order some DLC for a game using trade-ins and was told that I had enough credit with the trade-ins to get both the base game AND the DLC. They said they would just give me a pre-owned copy in the mean time and I could bring it back and they would swap it for a new copy. I waited and went into the store to honor the deal and was told nothing had been applied to the cost of the pre-order and I needed to pay $54 for a copy of DLC that was $40. I told them what I had been told at the time of the trade in, 1 of the two employees was there trying to figure out what was going on with the trade in transaction. They said nothing about the trade except that none of the funds were applied to the DLC. I said that was not true because they confirmed the game had been paid in full AND there was a refund of $9 put onto the gift card for in store credit because the traded in games totaled more than was necessary. They insisted that I pay $54 for the DLC. I don't think I will pre-order or trade my...
