Time of delivery is really based on how busy the restaurant is this company will wait to put the order in until the driver is available which makes it so that you actually receive your food hot even if it takes an hour most times it takes less than 45 minutes to receive your food I've gotten mine as quick as 10 other companies put the order in right away but they don't have a driver available for an hour so you get your food cold what's the point of that.. you can order online through the app or you can actually call somebody directly and talk to a human being to get your order placed when you order online there are repeat order options no contact delivery options so it's less time you have to spend retyping everything in. Biggest advantage for this company over the competition is there are people you can actually talk to who will fix a problem if one arises for example if you ordered food for five people but only received enough food for four because something was missing they will make sure you get your missing item a refund does you know good when that fifth person is going hungry and all of these reviews for delayed deliveries there is a function where you can request an order to be delivered at a certain time order early enough and anticipation for it being a busy Thursday Friday Saturday night when you live in Amherst Mass it's a college town all the kids are ordering from these services so you have to plan accordingly. This is a locally grown company that was started over 20 years ago by the owner who went to the colleges in Amherst so if you like to support your local businesses use odelivery express instead of these big national chains who don't reallylly care about anything but the money which is shown by how little they pay their drivers I repeat very important order onlineor use app And use the advanced time function and I can promise you your order will be received plus or minus 15 minutes...
Read moreI prefer to use a local company such as Delivery Express than the corporate competition, and in the past their service has been fine. Which is why I have given them 3 stars, rather than the 1 star their latest non-delivery warrants. When I placed the order, the estimated delivery time was 45 minutes. After the elapsed 45 minutes, I received a call saying that they had no drivers available, and they had not yet contacted the restaurant (which I suppose was better than having cold food awaiting pick-up). I said that I would pick it up myself, and since they already had the order in the system they offered to place the order with the restaurant, minus the delivery charge and tip. However, when the charge came through, it included delivery and tip. I called to complain politely, they apologized and said of course the additional charges would be refunded. 2 weeks later, I am still waiting. After calling them again, I was offered a credit on my next order. Given the poor service, I'm not sure there will be a next order, so I have again asked for the charge to be refunded (as was originally promised). Apparently the accounts department will now call me in 3-4 days - why do I think this...
Read moreNot a fan of this place. We've had many, many issues with incorrect orders. Customer service is also pretty atrocious. We always seem to get the same guy on the phone when there's a problem and he always has a bad attitude. Once we opted to tip in cash so we put no tip on our card, and he actually called to (quite rudely) ask if we were planning to tip the driver - we absolutely were, but that interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. Now they've just instituted a mandatory 15% tip for all orders. I suspect people were tipping less than that and Delivery Express got tired of having to pay their drivers extra to make up the difference between the tipped and minimum wage, so now they're making it the responsibility of their customers and only giving people the option to add an "extra" tip if they want to. Of course their drivers should be paid fairly, but that should be the responsibility of the company, not their consumers. Especially when their $3.80 delivery fee and $1.50 processing fee for using a card doesn't even guarantee you'll get the food you...
