Oct 2023 Busy as ever! Ordered the lemon pesto chicken salad on a brioche bun today and this was DELICIOUS! 😋 also, tried the dirty taro latte... it was good but did not taste sweet like the taro bubble tea you'll find. The bacon BLT sandwich plus their homemade chips hit the spot too! Sept 2022 Update - Iced ginger tea was excellent and a cup of hot tumeric ginger tea was enjoyed by my friend. Good for the immune system too! Great food, lattes, and atmosphere for meeting up with friends, colleagues and clients. Plenty of space to work too. Had the pistachio turkey sandwich today, which was good, but the bacon pesto grilled cheese was divine! All the flavors blended well together. Don't forget to order a side of their homemade chips. Check out their omelettes too! My friend always gets the lavender latte, and I had the rosemary salted caramel latte today. Both are great.

I wanted to try this place out so I gave it a shot. When I walked in there was a menu on a chalkboard wall. I walked up to the counter to order and two gals were discussing a problem at the register. The one said she was going to take my order and they could finish the conversation when she was done, but the other one wasn’t listening and just kept talking. She had to cut her off and say she was going to take my order, which I’m glad for because I really didn’t want to keep waiting while they hashed that out. I ordered a Northside BLT with homemade chips, pickle and an m&m cookie. It cost close to $18.00, which I feel is pretty high for a sandwich/chips/cookie. I did enjoy the sandwich, having avocado on it. The chips were quite good as well. I would come back here and meet a friend for lunch. There’s a pretty large dining area for sitting too.

Came here for lunch as I was passing through town. I also was looking for a cafe I could work at. I had much higher expectations for this place based on what I had heard from others. The day I came in the staff behind the counter weren’t very friendly or welcoming. The experience was closer to what you’d get a gas station McDonald’s. That’s the first star. The second star is for the soggy bread on the bottom half of my sandwich. I ordered the corned beef and cheddar with a side of soup. The sandwich and soup was neatly plated and looked appetizing, but once I picked up the sandwich, the bottom piece of artisan bread had soaked through with whatever sauce they had put on it. Didn’t bother asking for another as I was in a hurry. Might stop in another time if time and place happens to be convenient. Otherwise, won’t be seeking it out.

The short of it: The coffee here is delicious! The sandwiches are scrumptious and the staff is downright charming. If you like coffee and are looking for a light meal you should absolutely stop by!

The details: The staff is super friendly, the ambiance is relaxing with a touch of rustic/eclectic which plays together nicely with the atmosphere of good high quality food and drinks. I decided to try out the Cafe Au Lait and my fiance had the caramel macchiatto, while we split one of their sandwiches. The prices are a little above average here but when you consider the quality and tastiness of the food I think it's a completely justifiable value.

They also do an unplugged breakfast on the weekends, where they shut off their WiFi. If you are looking for a somewhat off the beaten path date approach this could be a great excuses to shut down the electronics and interact with your date!

People who need to try this: Coffee lovers Unique/Creative Food Lovers People looking for a low key, high class food stop

This is one of those places with great potential that screams mediocrity, poor management, and a deep betrayal of a wonderful name.

  1. food is diner level, overpriced, and delicately blessed with an anxiety-worship -whatever-vibe. Some decent baked goods but zero nondairy options
  2. entrance is a clusterfaaak as guests must huddle in chaos near the counter, blocking the entrance, to order food while celebrating confusion.
  3. Then guests must embrace a treasure hunt for their number which is displayed on one of the tables
  4. it is likely that a server will enthusiastically ask if you want cream with your coffee then never return with it, but will incessantly smile in a despondent commercial grace when passing by 76 times over the next 22 minutes
  5. if you need to order anything else you’ll have to return to the pathogen savvy cluster fest.
  6. Then please proceed to psychically know where to bus your table because that’s expected Yay to disgracefully...

Tried this place for the first time. Waited over 30 minutes for my take put order watching others come and go. About 10 mins. In I asked if I could switch the type of cheese on my sandwhich, was told no be aus ethe order had gone back to the kitchen, mind you I had been sitting watching the cooks making the food about 4 ft behind the cashier. Funny a regular came in and placed his large order. Cashier rang the little bell for the cooks, quiet conversation, less than 10 mins later he was leaving with his food. Meanwhile I'm still sitting. I saw where the to go orders were sitting and asked if I should wait in a different area and was told no. 30 mins after placing my order the cashier grabs a bag that has been sitting for awhile. By the time I got back to work I didn't have time to eat. And this was on a day their internet was out. Imagine if they had online orders also. The menu looked intriguing, but...
