My current favorite bar/gastropub in Ann Arbor...and there are a lot of competitors. Great drinks selection (but I do wish they had choice/customizable) sizes like other places I like, i.e. let me get 8 oz or 16 oz of something. The food is fabulous and the happy hours are generous. Get the Korean friend brussel sprouts! And their fries (truffle or otherwise) are amazing and perfect. They come out piping hot and crispy and are the perfect texture, I could just eat a plate of fries each visit and be a happy camper! I always get wings too but I've noticed they've gotten less saucy than they used to be, and I dislike dry spots on what should be wet wings. You can pay 50 cents extra for more sauce but I wish they'd go back to how they were saucing before/sufficient sauce instead of charging extra. Not a deal breaker though, I still love you, Rappourt. They have a small selection of board games and even though food often comes out before you finish a game, it's still a much-appreciated gesture and super fun! You order at the register when ready and I like that system, and I LOVE that I can keep a tab open and can easily order more. Overall, my gripes are miniscule compared to how amazing I think this place is, and I want to/am trying to bring everyone I know to experience it for themselves. And if that means I come here once a week,...
Read moreIm a cook..... and the "Moussaka" was odd, to say the least. I was told a while after I ordered that there was no eggplant...... but then it magically turned up somehow. However, in the dish I received, there were only 4-5 small cubes, and the advertised pappardelle occupied most of the gondola dish. The only salt was in the small amount of cheese on top of the noodles, so the main taste was sour tomato. It was early...not a lot of people and their clothes to absorb the hugely echoing music.... and my husband and I had to almost yell to hear each other. Polite, fast service, tho I seem to remember that Moussaka is baked for a long time, and holds for quite a while, making more flavor as time goes by. A pub on the east side of town is a welcome addition, but pubs are supposed to be cozy...... this is more like a warehouse. Not their fault that the ceilings are too high for the space..... vaulted industrial is how it presents. Early...
Read moreWe were really disappointed by RAPPOURT last week. We ordered two of their signature burgers. You order at the bar and meals are brought to your table when they’re ready, which is fine. The order was correctly repeated back to us. They brought out one burger and left it at the table, no mention of the other burger. We tried to get someone’s attention to check on the other burger to no avail. After awhile my partner went back up to the cashier to inquire and was told that a second burger wasn’t ordered, and was then charged for the second burger and we had to wait again for it to come out. No apology whatsoever for the mixup or any offer to make the situation right. At that point I was a bit hangry, but that service just doesn’t sit right with me. The fries were good, but the burger bun was very oily and the burger overall was incredibly bland. The beer menu was good, but the poor service, bland burger, and overall just weird/off vibes means we...
