From going hostess was more worried about socializing than take care of guest. She not even acknowledged us, not even a hello. Waited for a table for more than 30 minutes, understandable but they were not as busy as Pluckers next door. Got sat in a boot for 8 people, wade the server was rude, he asked one of my friends to speak up, because he couldn't hear her, there's ways to ask something like that. Took drink orders and forgot 2 drinks. Came back few minutes later with them. Took food order and left, came back 10 minutes later and the glasses were empty, and went on and asked if we needed it more drinks. Helloooo you don't ask if you need more drinks, you have one job and is to keep your patrons happy, the happier the better tip you get. Food took around 35 minutes again they weren't that busy, wade delivered the food and left the plates on the edge of the table, had to asked my friend to passed me my plate. I was not even finish with my food and wade asked me to passed him my plate, so he could take it away, i wasn't done at this moment. Deliver the tickets,he didn't asked if we needed them to be split, he went and just assumed that we wanted like that. We did pay separately both one ticket was together and he got offended when we asked him to put it together. Took forever to comeback, we were celebrating a birthday for my friend and told him it was her birthday and he dissapeared, came back moments later and informed us that the ice cream was melted. At this moment we just wanted to leave, we arrived there at 9:45pm didn't leave till 11: 30 pm and he was rushing us that most of the group didn't finished their meals. Horrible, horrible place. They need to train their staff better, need to be friendly and at least the hostess acknowledge people when patrons are leaving, remember your company signs your paychecks, but the patrons or guests are the one's paying you. Treat guest with respect. Will never go back to this...
Read moreIf you're looking for something in Arlington it's probably at The Highlands. We went to Studio Movie Grill the other day to see Acrimony but my kiddo pulled me into Sherlock Gnomes instead. :-).
Always a nice experience here. We arrived about 5'30pn which was a great time because it's before the crowds arrive. Ticket prices are always a gouge anywhere you go so here is no different. We order in the bar area and carried our food into the show which started at 6:30pm. The bar did offer $5 flavored vodka as a special but it was watered down on the rocks. The chicken quesadilla was tasty and filling. They could have kept all this tortilla chips and served it with veggies or a salad instead. The movie played in the first cinema #5 as we walked in so very convenient. The wait staff may be too prompt. I don't like being interrupted while watching the movie to shove a bill in my face then minutes later again if I'm ready to pay halfway through the movie when I didn't turn my light on. I'm sure they've gotten stiffed before but for the honest people it's annoying. The food taste good, the chairs are comfy, the theatre was clean, we we're stuffed, no steps to climb, restrooms right outside the door
Prices: $9 adult ticket with military discount. $7.50 for a small child + $36 for the kid's cheese burgers, kids Sprite, small popcorn, my quesadilla, 2 drinks at $5 ea + an extra small popcorn at $3.99 plus tip at the bar and tip in the theater....Wow! That was $65+ bucks to see cartoon. My son really enjoyed the experience and I watching his face light up but the cost of living these days will send you to the poor house quick thus why we...
Read moreAn outdoor shopping mall, Arlington Highlands is noted for its shops, restaurants, and movie theater. It is conveniently located next to Interstate 20, so it’s easy to find and has a large enough variety of shopping to satisfy most needs.
Looking at the shops at Arlington Highlands, one will notice that they lean in a more upscale direction. There aren’t any true extremes, but this isn’t a place to visit if you’re looking for bargain prices. The same could be said for the food options. You won’t find inexpensive fast food here, but you also won’t find expensive restaurants either. Most of the restaurants are in the moderate range.
This is an outdoor mall and that means there is a good deal of walking. In addition to that, you are exposed to the elements and we know how hot Texas can get, so keep that in mind if you decide to visit. With so much outdoor walking, you can end up sweating like a fiend as you walk from place to place.
Parking is somewhat of an issue at Arlington Highlands. The place would definitely benefit from a parking garage. You could very well end up having to park a good distance from where you want to visit. Coming and going can also be an issue, as there aren’t many entrances and exits.
Outdoor shopping malls are not my preference, but some have a nice layout and/or enough selection to make a visit worthwhile. Arlington Highlands is an acceptable shopping center in most regards and I like that it does offer some green space and fountains for more visual appeal. The parking is an issue, however, so when all things are considered, I can only rate it...
