I am posting this review as a male customer who shopped here to get my hair bleached and dyed. It is understandable that this store does not sell hair dyes, but I am glad that Ulta Beauty has hair bleach that is needed for me to dye/highlight my dark (black) hair.
I visited this store at this location twice. The first time I visited this place, I was greeted by a lady with warm welcome. I asked questions about dying/bleaching my hair, as I saw a product that was available here that I intended to purchase. The lady immediately went on her way to find the item for me (I did not order for pick up). I was also told and redirected to a salon stylist in regards to my questions. The salon lady was polite and I appreciate that she stopped her haircutting on a customer and helped me get the 'purple shampoo'. I purchased both the purple shampoo and the hair bleach on my first ever visit at Ulta- I was going to Sallys, but they close earlier-early at 6pm. I was given some gifts and really appreciate how well my first visit was.
The hair bleach was great. However, the hair mask they gave me as a 'gift' had to be thrown away. I thought it would be a great gift for me to put on my hair after bleaching and dying it. However, it was a huge mistake! My hair got itchy like hell, and the next day I see massive amount of dandruff as my hair itches like hell. The purple shampoo was useless as well, hence I returned it on the 2nd visit to this location.
Furthermore, on my second visit, everything changed. I went back to return the purple shampoo, and the girl at the checkout was not being very pleasant. I was just glad I made the return. I then try to look for 'sulfur/sulphur free shampoo'. I was redirected to where it was by another girl who was not being so helpful. After a moment, a pleasant lady came and helped me trying to find a product. After about 30 minutes of finding, I decided to give in trying to find one and decided to leave the store. What I noticed (just as another person said on the review) they walk around the aisles with eyes on me like I am going to steal, which would not happen. Even as I walk out with nothing in hand or pocket, I was stared at with a suspicion that I stole something.

Read moreI booked an appointment to get my eyebrows tinted at this location this past Friday 10/4/2024 evening at 7pm. I chose this location based on the reviews for Christina. I chose to bring my sister along with me because I love her brows and didn't want to end up looking crazy. When I sat down for my appointment I explained to Christina that I've never had tint before but have had my eyebrows waxed. I wanted to try something different before I took the leap into micro blading. Christina proceeds to start my wax during the process my sister had started to record me not Christina for content. Christina said she wasn't comfortable with that in rude tone. Cool no problem, my sister stopped recording. I'm thinking the waxing is going well Christina completed my lip gloss, I'm getting excited for the tiny part of the service. When she gets done with the waxing and has me take a look, I really didn't think my eyebrows look too much different. She takes a step back and asks me what was my expectation with the tint? I said a more finished almost make up look based on my research on social media and Google. She says rudely who told you that? I'm like no one in particular. She says well the tint won't look different because my eyebrows are dark and already thick. I was disappointed and stated I wish that was explained when I booked the appointment. She was very snippy and rude talking to me and said she was not doing the service. I said okay fine I can't force you to do the service. She suggested that they sell an eyebrow gel that I might like. So I'm like okay cool let's try that. My sister who was with me asked could Christina make my arch a little more dramatic and I said yes normally when I get them arched I do a slighter deeper arch. She said hold on a minute and walked away. I'm thinking she went to get the eyebrow gel, she comes back with the manager JoAna. And proceeds to tell JoAna that my sister and I were rude the whole service and she didn't feel comfortable dealing with us. Which was a complete LIE. My sister said 2 sentences to her and was quiet the whole time. I expressed my disappointment that I could do tint but I was no rude about it. The brow bar is in the middle of the store where multiple employees could see and hear me. Not one person says I was being rude.
