I have been going to this place for a while now. I am not very good with names of each nails types however, is not my first time doing my nails. I did notice fluctuations on prices and when I asked the answer was that is a different product. This time I requested regular acrylic and I was told that it was the same as gel or powder witch could be truth but the price seemed to be high so I was just asking. But the way they acted is like I am trying to get a discount and was reminded that I asked the same question last time witch it was a different question. I could not even finish a sentence when she already was saying you are not going to find that price anywhere I was saying that I recall nails used to be a while back around 35 to 55 but she went on as if I was asking for a discount, I was just making conversation.
The last occasion one lady offered me a different product and it did not work when I came back because the nails were chipping they said it was because my nails were bad. Well your staff offer that she said it was better for me lol.
Since then it seem that I they have bad blood for me. I even tip them well.
This was my last time giving this place a try so to make sure that is was me and not them I open my translator and I was shock! To begin, right when I sat they were referring to a customer in a very demeaned way, I was there for probably 1 hour and it was enough for me to hear how they refer to customers including myself. We all know is no secret they smile all the time but the conversation behind can be pretty brutal.
I went home feeling pretty bad thinking how many times I have gone there and they smile at me and have said terrible things about me and other customers. I really hesitate to post a review but I think is fair.
I actually hear one telling to a customer your dress is very nice and turned around and say to the lady next to her how stupid she looked and they both were laughing.
If this happens in one hour of me using a translator I can’t imagine the rest.
I for sure will not be going there and there is no reason to badmouth them, the work they do if good overall, maybe I am not quite sure about prices but what really got me if how they were referring to me and other customers. Maybe is a bad idea to bring a translator but, I was curious as something did not feel right for me. Customer service is important it was my fault for not knowing however, talking bad in another language to a customer does not seem to be ethical.
Perhaps, this is normal in all mail salons, I don’t know.
I will just simply continue going to the one I used to go, I was their customer for 5 years and never had an issue. Perhaps, because I never open my...
Read moreWhen I tell you I am totally shocked by the behavior of the owner, Sophia, it’s an understatement. I was looking for a nail salon closer to home. I found Serenity Nails. They were kind and clean. Busy, but didn’t have seating for anyone that has to wait. You awkwardly wait in the front or sit at someone’s station. I started going to Dinah and her work was great aside from her cutting me until I bled…then my nail polish would peal after my appointment. They would fit me in to fix it. THEN I switched to dip after MANY years of acrylics. My nails would crack and chip EVERY SINGLE TIME. Now mind you, I don’t perform construction, I don’t clean without dishwashing gloves, and I sit at a computer ALL day. There is no reason for my nails to chip and break. The last time this happened, I thought “ok, it’s gotta be my nails.” They’re too weak. I called Serenity Nails (on Sunday) to repair 3 NAILS. The gentleman that I spoke to said to make an appointment for when Dinah was in, I agreed. I asked for them to help me figure out what we need to do. If I needed to go back to acrylic, I would. If we need to do thicker dip layers, I would…well that wasn’t what was in store for me.
I went in on Monday morning and I was asked to sit down at someone’s station, by Sophia. After waiting roughly 10 minutes, I was told that Dinah was the best nail technician they had and I was “expecting perfection.” That I could not come back and that they would refund my money for the set. I was SHOCKED. I didn’t yell, I wasn’t rude, I was kind and open to a solution. Instead, I was asked to leave because I expected to have better quality nails. As this was happening, there were customers listening and 2 employees put their phones down to watch. It was degrading and embarrassing, especially when this continued to happen and I didn’t flip out and get angry. If you are ok with mediocre work, go here. If you’re ok with being brushed aside and embarrassed…you should...
Read moreSo I have never written a bad review before as I find them unnecessary for the most part but this experience was HORRIFIC. I came in for an SNS manicure as I’ve gotten a few times before at another place and left before I even finished the soak off. The second I sit down this woman roughly cuts my nails all the way down without asking and when I pulled away and told her I was actually growing them out insisted they had to be cut because it was the color not the tips at the bottom???? Which is absurd because I’ve always had tips and they’ve never had to cut them let alone extremely short. So I’m already upset because I’ve always struggled to keep nails long and have been proud of the length (most of the nail underneath was actually visibly my own). Then she PUT MY HANDS IN ONE TINY BOWL OF PURE ACETONE without checking me over for any cuts and says it’ll take TEN minutes and leaves to help another client for TWENTY before someone else takes over. I’m an esthetician and am fully aware what you should and should not do and this is such a major red flag I’m shocked I didn’t leave immediately. So I’m near tears because my beautiful nails are gone and not even salvageable without paying for tips and they have yet to ask me a single question about what I’d like for my nails. I left with my nails tacky, rough, and covered in cotton because I was just upset and horrified. The nail salon I went to directly after is equally as horrified. Just wish I had waited for my regular salon to be open. Save yourself the discomfort and go...
