With curiosity and hunger fully in play, we searched this local dining out. As we were coming in a young fellow held the door while offering up a query. "Do you like pork?" I assured him that I did and in response as we passed he said excitedly, "then you have to get the Pastor." We approached the ordering window dead ahead and my sister and I did just that in the form of the S Quesadilla Grande. My husband went for the burrito. Both of these dishes are served with two kinds of sauce. One tomatillo and another a tomatillo with a bit of guacamole. One has a bit of fire, the other, just flavorful with little heat. The food is served promptly and it is nice and hot. It is also absolutely delicious. I got the recommended today and was delighted I did. I will return for the tamales (you must get there very early and the pork is a always a sell out.) Other protein options chicken, steak, etc. and having enjoyed lunch in this local find I am sure it will be nothing short of delectable. Met Jesus there today. He is a family member and alerted us to the availability of Tamales. Such a nice fellow; clearly interested in your awesome dining experience checking by to see that your food is good and you are happy. I love this type of food and Tortilleria Molina has not seen the last of us! If you are feeling the need for tacos, quesadillas, tamales or the like you MUST go there. It masters the fine art of hospitality & very yummy fresh food while inspiring a need to go...
Read moreThis place is very hidden and serves a limited yet extremely good menu at a rather very cheap price for Asheville, especially when considering the quality. The only problem I've encountered here is that only 2 people there I've met so far speak English. They are very kind and of the numerous times I've been back only twice did they have to grab an English speaker. I would gladly take this issue, being the only issue, and be occasionally delayed 2 mins for cheap food that tastes that damn good.
Edit: I reread my review and I mean no disrespect to the makers of the best tacos, especially the asada, in Asheville. I don't even care about my problem.. that I do not speak Spanish. This is the kind of place you are amazed to discover. That's how you know the food is legit! The workers are very kind and respectful. The food comes out very quick once you get your order in. This is hands down my favorite tacos from Cherokee to Charlotte. If you don't find this place, you are definitely...
Read moreThis place is absolutely incredible! Everything is seasoned perfectly, your food comes out fast, your plate is loaded, and it's a good price especially considering some of the other places in asheville. This is genuinely the best mexican spot i've tried here. This place is next to another mexican joint, and across the street from a chipotle. Not even slightly comparable. If you try this place once I promise you you'll never eat at a chipotle again. The only issue with this place is that it's hidden away and there isn't a lot of advertisement. So tell your friends! They absolutely deserve the business. This place is a 10/10 I always leave full and happy. In addition, if u like hot sauce ask for one at the counter. Best hot sauce I have ever tried, I would buy it by the bottle if i could. Looking forward to being a regular...
