I decided to go to Asheboro to complete all of my Christmas shopping. I had 3 stores on my list and Southern Highland was first. I live about 3 hours away and I was very excited. The establishment is really nice and has lovely things. The 3 star is because the staff never said hello. When i entered there was a couple leaving and I was alone in the store. Literally, 2 staff members walked by me and said nothing. I was almost shoulder to shoulder with one... no hello or can I help you. I was curious. I paid close attention to the staff as other ppl started to enter. One by one, the Staff NEVER spoke. Very odd to me. There was 1 older woman looking at a vase and a staff member walked up & took an item that was in front of the older woman but never asked her if she needed help. There was a pair of earrings i wanted to buy in the glass display to the left as u enter, 6 of the Christmas glass ornaments, 2 origami animals on the back wall and this really unique hand painted glass piece....but i changed my mind. I was so disappointed. I was raised to never spend your $ in an establishment if your not acknowledged. I will visit again (next year) to see how my experience will be...hopefully im acknowledged and i can get...
