Columbian Theater — Attraction in Astoria

We met friends at the Columbian for a Friday night movie to see Murder on the Orient Express. The feature was only $4 pp, and with great seats at the rail in the balcony, we really enjoyed the movie and venue. The sound system was just adequate, but having a pizza delivered to our table and couch seating brought the experience to a higher level. Super charming, vintage, old school movie going experience that’s preserved beautifully. Where else can you have a full bar, comfy sofas and shockingly great pizza while catching a flick. Even the pre-show slideshows and music are great. Top notch movie theatre popcorn - you know the kind, that extra crispy salty kind from childhood. Full screen, cheap tickets. $2 per child $4 per adult. Serves pizza (single sliced, half pies and full pies), popcorn, soda, tea, beer, and candy. Plays one movie that's already been about in cinema.
